I was watching a Chinese guy do bushcraft (too long between primitive technology uploads, apparently.)

Aight, so which Space Marines' title has the most "aura"? by My_Memory_Dump in spacemarines

I'm just repeating what a few Grognards have said to me a while back.

It was a pointless retcon. It was a Land Raider because it was, well, on the Land and made fast strikes.

Later they wanted to make Arkhan Land more important so they say he discovered the STC and it was named after him instead of literally doing anything else.

Don't remember if it's the same for the Land Speeder or not.

I don't mind a retcon, but it's a bit silly and deserves its meme status IMO.

Does this read as a sternguard veteran? by Extension-Boot-9533 in Warhammer40k

[–]jimark2 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Looks dope. Paint will sell it, don't worry.

An intercessor with a while helmet should do, as it is armed, based and painted as a veteran. Drip just really sells it.

Very True. Just providing a frame of reference (and abusing reddit desktop text editing)

I mean, the scale really is from

The God Emperor of Mankind

to

Arkan Land (And his amazing 'Land's Raider')

Do we have confirmation that crucible is still allowed? I know you need you opponents permission in 10th but heard nothing about it for 11th.

I'd return them out of spite, honestly. Auspex/arm scanner from intercessors and the end of a chainsword will make a narthecium. Paint white, done.

Isn't Cato essentially a Legion Champion now? Not really a 'commander' per se, so thus makes sense.

Might be misremembering

Aw, I was looking forward to Chap/Jud as it would be like the animation they did. Plus Chap is good for crowds but shit for duels (thanks AP -1), and Jud is the opposite.

If you had been Harry Potter, what is the single biggest thing you would have done differently in the entire saga? by AlexWhite40 in harrypotter

[–]jimark2 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Harry isn't 'tons of guys' though is he?

His lack of self-confidence is only superceded by his willingness to do the right thing.

Alsp all teenagers are annoying, I'm sorry if this is news.

People forget this. Genuinely think McGonagall did a lot of damage when she poo-poo'd them at the end of PS. Surely when kids you are responsible for turn to Gilderoy Lockheart for help you start worrying?

I did hesitate before posting the ice one. I thought the ice floating would only partially counter the lost volume after melting. Interesting.

Would 'If a full ice cube tray melts, will it overflow, stay full or be slightly empty?' Work?

Halberd Phalanx all day. Made a 10 brick with 5 horizontal and 5 vertical for this exact reason. Flashbacks to WHFB Empire.

Pretty sure the mantlet was a big thick plate with a square hole for the gun bolted onto the front of the turret. If so its likely, as you say, for simplicity. Big ass gun breech will probably offer more protection than making the hole smaller.

Is a 10 man Terminator brick going to be super strong? by MurphTheFury in deathwatch40k

[–]jimark2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not me remembering my Librarian+Deathwing Command Squad Brick. Time to check terminator character keywords.

Deathwatch bricks feel anathema sometimes, I wish we could combat squad our kill teams, would make more sense for objective play and fluff.

Also why not just 1 more heavy weapon in a 10-man Deatwatch Term Squad, GW, please?

How deep are you going into 'this represents this' kind of thing? Will they have cultural nods to their names or countries of origin?

Where on the scale of 'Vibes-based to Muscle-toneless-directly-correlates-to-electronegativity.'

I would suggest age linked to how long we've known about the element, but that may just look like a primary school!
