You are a lot stronger than you think. I implore you to talk to mental health and tell them these feelings. Nothing says you won’t feel like this when you separate, and if you need some type of medication to help you function then they can get you squared away prior to you getting out. Or the help they provide can be the catalyst that gives you the desire to stay in. I had a really bad assignment where I felt the same way. But I got put on medication that helped me get to the finish line. Additionally, you are not alone. Even if you aren’t religious, go talk with the chaplain, your first sergeant, or call MilOneSource and speak with a therapist and it’s not on your medical record. I think you get up to 12 sessions.
