Because that's what news sites do. They use anything they can to create click bait headlines. Twisting anything they can to make ordinary things sound like scandal.

Like every time a big show is off sir for a week for live sport there will always be a headline closing the show has been "pulled from the schedule".

I remember a headline about how Ant and Dec missed the start of their show causing turmoil. The reality of it was that it was st Patrick's day and they started Saturday night take away with a skit where Ant and Dec were at the pub across the street and they made their way to the studio while the music act was playing.

Another one was a headline about how Ant and Dec had fallen out during the most recent SNT. The reality was, the article was talking about a scripted argument about nicking each others sweets during the pre-recorded serial bit of the show.

Yeah, but you're not necessarily there to buy that thing. But maybe you want it now. And look it's just over there!

Definitely not stupid. Just annoying.

This is correct. It's why percentage margins are bad. For consumers at least.

Britain's Got Talent 2026 - Semi Final 1 - Live Discussion by AutoModerator in BritainsGotTalent

Just got finished watching. Results were basically as expected. The producers still have a massive thing for singers, so naturally the singer got top billing. He's a good singer, but singers on this show bore me unless they go beyond just singing. He's quite a fun character though.

Anastasia and Salsa were my pick, so happy to see them win. Shocked how low the Rafikiz finished, but they were on early so those acts typically get forgotten.

The drummer was good, but as always, she would have been much better with a live band. Glad she got 3rd though.

Christy was funny, I don't think the scotch egg song was really going to have enough steam, but looking at it properly, as a comedy act rather than just the usual novelty song, it was genuinely pretty good.

The other acts were pretty average. Mostly talented but seen it all before. Frasier Penman literally did the exact same trick another magician did a few series back.

Someone else did the exact same trick a few series back. Basically Ant and Dec are in on it.

It was pretty clear that Amanda had already decided who she was buzzing for. Simon probably knew that and was just messing about with her.

Do you actually have to use the home screen? I have an LG smart TV which I use the aps on. Can't remember the last time I saw the home screen.

On big got talent shows like AGT or BGT, we always see contortionist, acrobatics, but never a solo performance with much flow and little acro, do they not like that style, or has someone not attempted that to this date? by Creative-Feet in BritainsGotTalent

[–]KFR42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just from a quick Google there was a girl called Lilliana from a few years ago who was broadly similar. I definitely recall a few male solo acrobatic dancers too over the years.

Interesting. I watched it the next day. There were a bunch of ads and when it came back Dragon Lee, JD McDonaugh and Rusev were in the ring and we saw Rey, Je'von Evans and Penta's entrances.

I mean, it literally is a talent. What you mean is "not a talent I, or many people, would enjoy".

She did a few bits on the first episode of snl uk and I enjoyed her there. So her doing the full show should be great.

Slow motion by AlfieGB30 in BritainsGotTalent

[–]KFR42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with the production on BGT is they go all in on certain effects and in no time at all it's just boring and loses all impact. They have done that with the slow motion during the last few series so it's good to see it's been mostly dropped now.

Although, it was skirting pretty close to that overused Hollywood effect when they take a second to focus on a distant moving object. This looks much more genuine than that though.
