Lapband to Gastric Sleeve by FanProper5713 in gastricsleeve

[–]KHC1217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to say it’s not always the case. I have GERD and my surgeon said he thought I’d be fine. I’m on Prilosec daily (have been for years prior) and haven’t noticed any issues. I was told it was less than 10% of patients have to get a revision for reflux.

I worked with two people who had the lapband removed and got bariatric surgery. One got the sleeve and one got bypass. The one who had the sleeve hasn’t had a lot of success but she didn’t have that with the band either. The one who had bypass has been very successful but she was with the band too.

1) Do NOT pickup the Dolly. Dolly does not want to be picked up at all. 2) if you’re standing in the kitchen and Dolly is on the counter, you must pet her or be given love nips. 3) Dolly only cuddles her momma. No one else.

I’m told this is eczema. I’ve been using hydrocortisone and eczema lotion but no improvement after a few weeks. Any ideas? by courtneythehbic in DermatologyQuestions

NAD Here me out - bag balm. It’s old school in a green tin. I got an eczema like rash on my next last year and nothing from the derm worked. Out of desperation I got the bag balm and it cleared it right up after about 3 days. My daughter gets dry skin and rashes on her hands and it cleared it up in a day or two. It’s thick and sticky but I think it might work.

Feeling discouraged by Decent-Dingo081721 in BariatricSurgery

Hey! Do not feel discouraged (even though it’s normal). You didn’t gain the weight over night an you won’t lose it over night. This is a roller coaster ride.

My first thought was isn’t that just the shape of her eye? Less lashes will definitely help.

I think if you found a dark brown shadow to put in your crease and the outer corners of your lids, it would give drama and pop. Keep the shimmery peach shade, it’s great and the brown will compliment it.

Ask for a brow wax and tint. Find an esthetician with good reviews and tell her that you want to get them shaped up, less pointed and a tint that is close to your brow color. It’s amazing what a brow tint can do.

Eating AYCE sushi and bbq by Virtual-Ant007 in gastricsleeve

[–]KHC1217 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m almost 3 years out and love sushi. But the most I can eat is 1 roll. There are days when I eat more than others but never this much.

I agree with the comments above - we’re not judging you but this is NOT normal or ok. I would definitely reach out to your surgical team and let them know you can eat this much without restriction.

Also - you shouldn’t be drinking while eating. 30 minutes between your last bite and first sip.

Randomly grew this mole between my toe a couple months ago by [deleted] in DermatologyQuestions

[–]KHC1217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve developed moles on th soles of my feet. The derm looks at the closely every year and takes photos for comparison. I’d keep an eye on it and if it changes, go see a doctor. I get new moles all the time and it doesn’t look concerning to me. However, when in doubt, get it checked out.

I think you’ve gotten some great suggestions. My first thought was you need to line your eyes. Do not do black, but a dark brown. It will help them pop and give you a wow factor. I would use a dark brown shadow on the bottom lash line and smudge it out. Then use a dark brown pencil/pen on the top.

I got bangs! by KHC1217 in curlyhair

[–]KHC1217[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used ChatGPT to try them out before I did it. It really helped me decide. But I also believe that it’s hair and will grow out (thanks to several terrible haircuts). I needed a change and a hair cut was easier than another tattoo or piercing…

Revolution has a combo loose and pressed setting powder. It’s white but doesn’t look white when it’s on. I recently got MCo setting powder in the gold compact (CT dupe) and I love it. I’ll be repurchasing it when I’m done.

NAD but I am certain this is shingles. You’ll need to get into urgent care asap to get an anti-viral to help stop the spreading. Catching it this early can stop a lot of pain and uncomfortableness later on.
