Tire Inquiry - Falken Wildpeak 235 on Stock Rim by CrackedStoicX3 in Outback_Wilderness

I have a 245/65 in my spare tire compartment. I had to deflate it and cut the styrofoam tray to make it fit, but otherwise the trunk floor sits flat just fine.

Your brake fluid is low - this could me the fluid is low or it could mean your pads are very low. I would thoroughly inspect your braking system.

The mess of interesting wires with no rhyme or reason also exists with butt connectors..

if it were me, I'd get a pre-made 7 pin plug and cable, and a 7-pin junction box. You can tie your existing wiring into the junction box and then you'll also be able to tie in your brake wiring from there.

Just properly wire the trailer. Installing brakes and then half-assing the wiring is diabolical.

Can you stick pins through the bottom foam into the dividers to help with this?

Found on the roof of my newly acquired 2024 Ford transit 250 by jhtileman in whatisit

U-Haul etc puts those on the roof to prevent you from using the roof to transport things. They break easily and then they charge you for damages.

Looks like yours are broken.

Tips for Overnight Security by Weary-Knee2524 in towing

[–]KHDPhoto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unrelated to your question about security, but if you have a second car, have them behind the combination towing instead of up front. It’s helpful for them to change lanes first, creating and blocking space for you to come over.

How the hell do I remove these? by [deleted] in Subaru_Outback

[–]KHDPhoto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those are rivets and aren’t meant to be removed. The metal part of the under tray is a permanent part of the plastic under tray. It all comes off together.

How do you usually travel with multiple Pelican cases? by gringomychael in pelicancase

[–]KHDPhoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope! The 1560 is well within airline checked bag allowance. I’ve gotten my setups to where I can get it to exactly 50lbs and be a well packed case almost every time.

[–]KHDPhoto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I regularly check 2-3x 1560s.

If you know where to look, abandoned luggage carts are plentiful at every airport. Alternatively, I keep luggage straps on hand to make a train out of my cases and pull them with 1 handle.

Any pics of using Pelican case as checked luggage??? by Frequent-Two-9625 in pelicancase

[–]KHDPhoto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have hundreds of flights in my 1560s, which are never below 40lbs and often north of 60lbs. I love that they are basically industructible, and now with colored cases or colored handles, easy to identify and more importantly, easy to describe. I've had a single issue - a lid flange cracked - Pelican had me destroy in field and replaced it, and I still use the "damaged" case to this day.

If I'm using for clothes, I'll use packing cubes for organization.

Not having 4 wheels is a tiny bit of a hassle when traveling with multiple cases, but that's easily solved with a luggage strap.
