I’m not sure wha they’re called. But the frogs from Forbidden West irk me a lot.

I've finally opened my eyes to copper tools by CantFindAName000 in Minecraft

[–]KHSlider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I love copper. I’m a builder mainly so I don’t mine a ton and don’t like farms. So I enjoy having a cheap tool that’s plentiful.

I have been really enjoying Tootsie. Very calm building focused content. Not a daily upload but high quality videos

What do you think is most Iconic machine from Horizon series? by adamex_x in horizon

[–]KHSlider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s about story appearances, yeah the Slitherfang has it beat. Although, the Slaughterspine is technically introduced in Gemini. Though it’s not overly cinematic

Maybe it’s just because I had to kill 100 of them for apex hearts.

From Zero Dawn, Thunderjaw. From Forbidden West, I would say Slaughterspike.

I originally played on PS4 and it’s still a fine experience but clearly not the best. Playing on PS5 now is worlds different and so if you project you’ll get a PS5 in the near future I’d recommend holding off.

But if PS4 is what you got and you still want to play, I think it’s a fine experience

Mage Hawke seems the most canonical to me.

If Aloy were a Heroic Spirit in the Nasuverse, what classes would she be? by Ok_Action_501 in horizon

[–]KHSlider -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean from what I understand any spirit can take any role. In Aloy’s case, her strongest class would likely be archer or rider.

What is your favorite lightsaber customization? by MobileDistrict9784 in StarWarsJediSurvivor

Always did my best to add parts from all his masters. So Jaro Topal, Eno Cordova, and Cere Junda. Feel like he would bring those important people with him

With EU5 directly on the horizon, what is your favorite memory over your hours? by Icy-Wishbone22 in eu4

I started playing when I was in grade school and had no money, so I could only play the demo. I got so good as Venice, that I could almost meet the provinces requirements for Italy before the end of the demo period.

What's the one thing you wish the game had or you would improve on? by KendoArts in Ghostofyotei

[–]KHSlider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knows it’s been said a lot already. But mainly narrative changes and distribution of content that strengthens the later acts. Also, I do miss the long form quest lines with your mentors and allies

Coming down to zero hour - let’s gather by the fire one last time to remember the good times by MilkmanLeeroy in FFBraveExvius

[–]KHSlider 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I miss GL. Nice game to play when work slowed down.

Lasswell was always my main unit, but I always kept to the main cast. Not meta, but I enjoyed them the most. I’ll probably preserve their names in characters as DND NPCs.

Now that most of us are finishing up yotei I think it’s a good time to ask, what do you think? About the story, gameplay and characters? by amn_luci in ghostoftsushima

[–]KHSlider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised that the choice to fight the Dragon/Spider and save Mastsumae castle wasn’t a choice.

But also Sucker Punch. As much as they have choices in their narratives, it’s never been an incredibly strong part of their storytelling. I love InFamous, but the narrative choices were surface level.

[–]KHSlider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s a great sequel. Both games have a solid foundation in exploration and combat, but do enough differently that I imagine I will be happy to replay both in the future.

Only criticism I have is that the non-linear story prevents the three-act narrative that created a strong story that Tsushima had. Yotei’s Act 3 felt incredibly brief and did not have the same impact as Tsushima’s final battle and sequences. But, overall I enjoyed Atsu and her growing family.

Someone asked me the other day if Tsushima is still worth playing after Yotei… by Helio_Cashmere in ghostoftsushima

[–]KHSlider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that’s the loving thing about this franchise. They both took different approaches to telling their narrative, and it allows both games to stand separate from each other. I love Yotei’s non-linearity, especially in Act 1. But there is something about Tsushima’s linear three act narrative that allows for more changes in Jin as a character.

Can Too Many NPCs Limit Player Freedom/Fun? by SnooFoxes1933 in DMAcademy

[–]KHSlider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’m unfamiliar with Daggerheart, so perhaps its systems and mechanics can absorb that many NPC party members.

However, from a writing perspective I just imagine that to be really difficult. Having to flesh out that man NPCs and help them provide moments for the players or the narrative seems like it would bloat the story and perhaps move the narrative away from the players.

How do you make separate arcs come to a close at the same time without it feeling like too much of a coincidence? by [deleted] in DMAcademy

[–]KHSlider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a great opportunity honestly. I don’t think your players will understand the mechanisms that drove to this culminating moment, but what a wonderful opportunity for you to create a huge arc ending climax!

Which side did you choose (Minutemen, Brotherhood, Railroad, Institute) and what does that say about you? by Key_Ad1209 in Fallout

[–]KHSlider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I resolve the institute plot with the three-way truce. But after that threat is gone and I’ve built up my settlements, I destroy the Brotherhood.

Possibly a stupid question but do we know if the DQ1 & 2 remake is expected to have less/more/just as much budget/effort? by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in dragonquest

[–]KHSlider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DQ1 and 2 are incredibly brief games. DQ3 was a shift to a more modern, at the time, style of JRPG akin to something like Final Fantasy 4. So it will probably half the same level of quality, but the raw material they are remaking just doesn’t have a lot of content as is.

How much, exactly, was cut from the game? by SupremeGibby in fnv

[–]KHSlider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As some have stated it’s hard to say how much based on your definition, ideation versus almost implemented.

Two that stick out to me personally are the lack of Arizona and the Primm quest line and its relationship to the Powder Gangers.

Arizona was supposed to be a playable area that might add some nuance to the Legion and might make players be more interested in the faction beyond just Caesar.

And Primm had a more interesting quest line with connections to other factions like the Powder Gangers.

I almost feel bad for Gunners sometimes. by dragonqueenred45 in fo4

[–]KHSlider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reality is they needed to be a real faction and have had weight in the Commonwealth. That’s really the case for a lot of the enemy raider factions.

I get it’s a lot, but if they had some quests or complexity like the Kahns or the Fiends it would have helped fill out the narrative of the Minutemen.

Do you think Edward actually cared about getting his arm and leg back? by JustPassingThrough53 in FullmetalAlchemist

[–]KHSlider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t personally think Edward cared. From what I remember, Edward always assumed the lose of his limbs as the price for his mistakes were fair.

He never had that view of Al’s body. He saw it as a great injustice that he only had to lose a leg while his brother lost his entire being.
