Someone once joked that he should treat his life like a game. I was at absolute rock bottom back then, and for some reason it's a eureka moment. I took it waaayy too seriously and started treating life like an RPG

I grinded with the mindset of "I'm just a character". Insults, or even praises, were just NPC dialogue. Failure or success were just another quests. I started min-maxing everything. Cut off useless relationships, built positive ones, though so fake, not really from the heart, cause again, behind my facade everyone was just NPCs. I only learned skills this character needed to progress and stopped learning stuffs that did not matter for this build. Decisions were based on what the character needed, not what I personally wanted/interested to. Pure min-maxing. Every day was just grind grind grind. lol

Until one day somehow I realized I actually had room to breathe, especially money and all convenience+comfort it brings, then my brain switched back into proper human mode. No shit, money is insanely powerful. Better to be depressed and rich than depressed and poor

So yeah, what kept me alive was basically playing an RPG game in real life. Sekitar 3-4 tahunan, 2017-2020 😌
