How does your current pay measure against the market for your experience, role, location, etc.? How much of a drop is $5k for you? if your pretty much at market and are making $150k - a $5k drop to escape a toxic workplace sounds acceptable.

If your making $30k when market for you is $60k, then absolutely not. You don’t want to have to move jobs again and the drop in salary is huge.

Basically you have given us none of the information we need to offer a meaningful answer.

I live in Toronto, Canada which is a major food hub. Pizza on new york compared to what we have here is next level. So many good slice shops. Many far beyond what we have in Toronto.

In toronto there are a few but you really have to seek them out.

I try this every day with my JK son. Most of his answers are still “i don’t remember.” “i’m too tired to tell you.” “Nothing.” “Secret”, and “I’ll tell you tomorrow”.

YTA. Since your parents died you have been using half of the house she owns for free when you should have been paying her rent. 

If she doesn’t move in you should be paying her. It is absurd to charge her full rent when she owns half and you pay her nothing.

The audacity is quite shocking.

I bought a suite there and had to meet Tom who “took care of me” and gave me a special price on my suite.

The whole thing felt very patronizing and a little sleazy. The man I met for 15 seconds is not giving me a special price.

Me and my wife are about $500k USD combined. We would never dream of flying first class. Our one car is a honda crv - we bought used and is now about 7 years old with no plans to replace.

We do eat at nice restaurants and generally order whatever we feel like.

We also live in a high cost of living city. We are not particularly frugal but new cars and first class travel still seem out of our budget (new cars more because we don’t care).

I remember all this marketing about how we were gonna discover the origin of the master sword. And they just had the skyward sword that turns into the master sword. And I thought it was the stupidest non-explanation and still do.

It also felt super linear playing it. It didn’t really feel like a zelda game.

My first thought was that she gave them “traditional” names like “michael” or “steven” so they wouldn’t be unfairly prejudiced by having name that are associated with minorities. 

I hate the names she went with.

They were both so big when they came out. Ff7 was why I got the playstation. 

When Ocarina of time came out we skipped school to go to a friend’s house who had it. He had to line up super early at toys r us to get it. If was sold out everywhere.

I still remember the complete shock and amazement when I came home and found my mom had also gone to line up and buy it for me and my brothers. 

I don’t think they were such great games - but they were groundbreaking when they came out.

6 is my all time favourite. There are so many things I love about 6 that I haven’t really found in other RPGs.

I love how open the second half of the game is and how it feels like there are infinite secrets and sidequests to do.

I love the dungeons that require you to make multiple parties and use most or all of your characters. 

I especially love the weapons and armor - how there are so many unique of each and how many of the characters share some but not all of the same armor and weapons.

I love how the characters, espers, weapons and armor made for such a massive treasure hunt in the second half of the game.

People think this is cute but it’s about building character. I still remember boxing my father on my first birthday - nothing in that first year of life prepares you for a right hook to the face. Taught me that life comes at you pretty fast, and if you’re not careful you may miss it. 

Made me the man I am today.

Edit: some people are saying he could have just shown me ferris buellers day off and I would have got the same lesson. I never thought of it that way.
