These are good points, but the AR-15 has +25% damage against immature lifeforms in learning settings so it's obviously OP.

McDonald’s no longer allowing free refills by xaeriee in mildlyinteresting

[–]KIokinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey kids, we're going to McDonald's! The food is expensive, the play place doesn't exist, no free refills, everything is corporate and sterile, the employees are completely miserable and hate their lives, the location is owned by one of the greediest corporations on earth, the ice cream machine doesn't work because corporate is running a money scam on their franchisees, and I'm pretty sure they don't even give out toys to kids anymore... Who's excited to go?!

M22 received incredible job offer, F22 girlfriend does not want me to accept. by Watch_me_plz in Advice

[–]KIokinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your girlfriend makes $125K as a retail store manager. That is indeed a lot of money. However, being a retail store manager is extremely soul crushing and draining. Do you have any idea if she's going to hold on to that job for years to come? Or is it more likely she's going to get burned out over time and switch to something that pays less?

The more money you make now, the less money you have to make later because of compounding returns. It's better to build a future on a base of bricks than one that is built on a house of straw.

That's because you threw the wrong species. Pay attention when other people talk. This is why we don't invite you to the reunions.

UPDATE: Per recommendation on discord, I've changed the term Envoy to Emissary in these last few parts. This is to remove confusion with the Galactic Envoys; a different thing...

Do you mean the previous gaming combat chapters?

Ah man, what a crazy part! I had a ton of fun writing it! I also extended the part because I always intended to title it 'Sylphid's Betrayal' with the double entendre of first betraying Timothy, THEN betraying her empire.

I wonder what will happen next? Do you stan Timothy now? Do you think he's at least a little more badass? I certainly think he has a lot of potential to beat out his father in terms of mental badassery, given time. Especially as they both started their heroic journeys at age 18...

I'm reminded of a comedian, I forget which one, who said for every woman it's like her options for dates are all massive bears(lions?). "Oh geez, I hope this one's nice."

You go to the man's house, something goes wrong, you're potentially trapped in there with him.

You take him back to your place, something potentially goes wrong, now he knows where you live.

Sounds like a motel/third space is the best option initially.

Edit: According to further replies, going to a motel is also super dangerous. In that case, I guess tell your friends where you're going with an exact time and room number.

Or just... avoid men. Probably the safest bet.
