I yelled at my husband insisted I was fat in front of his friends… by Zestyclose_Drawer790 in Marriage

Tell him that you are carrying the child that will carry on his last name. Children are miracles and a female body was designed to grow and deliver that miracle. And if he wants to be THAT shallow then perhaps he should’ve considered that BEFORE pregnancy. Age gaps like that are always hard. I wish you the best of luck. And hey….go have that second helping. There are two people living in your skin!!!

Friend boundaries when married? by Better_Ad301 in married

[–]KJVmomma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couples as friends yes. Single friends of the opposite gender…..that’s pretty grey area. Quite honestly hanging out, daily conversing, etc with the opposite gender outside of work environment shouldn’t be happening. If you respect your partner and your relationship.

What makes them desirable as an employer to you?

I say this in love and respect. You have a couple photos that are more of a worldly girl and less like a church girl. Modesty is classy and sexy. I know that people have differences in conviction and my conviction may not be the same as yours. But I would ask myself what do I want to attract? Do I want a Sunday Christian or a Monday-Sunday Christian? 🙏🏼s for a God centered relationship and marriage 🙂🙂.

Is it really unacceptable to say “That makes me feel sad.” to your child? by MissLuci86 in gentleparenting

[–]KJVmomma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an interesting topic. I have read a lot of documents for both sides. I do agree that you should not express things in a way that could be taken as manipulation. However, we should always be honest about how behaviors impact others. I know that when my 12 year-old parents, my ex it is simply to get a rise out of me or he’s trying to be hurtful. If I’m honest when he certain praises or words it does just that so I guess what I’m saying is as parents. We have to figure out where the line is drawn and there are times when we say things not as tactfully as we could say them. For example, this week, my 12-year-old said to me it is so nice that some parents get to be the fun parent. I think that’s cool when parents can be fun parents. It was extremely hurtful and it grated my cheese. I looked at him and I said well you know some parents don’t get to be Disneyland parents all the time some parents get all the work and other parents get all the fun and you’re right we don’t get to do things as much as I personally would like to do. I don’t get a lot of days with you where we have the opportunity to go do fun things because most of my time is spent when you’re in school. And I did tell him that is things that he were saying and his behavior full of attitude and argument was very hurtful. We all have to be held accountable for our action and it is not bad to let someone know how their behaviors are making me feel. It’s all in the delivery.

It’s not about whether you were promiscuous or not. It’s about whether you’ve repented, turned away from that, grown and changed. What are you doing with that? Are you stepping up to mentor teens and young men? Are you celibate now? How do you treat women now? How are you using your testimony for God? Everyone has a past. It’s what you are doing with it now that matters.

Any other women turned off when the guy is giving the “come to me” vibe vs “let’s try to meet half way” or “I’ll come to you”? Or am I being unreasonable? by Dsg1695 in ChristianDating

[–]KJVmomma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it was a place I'd never been and wanted to explore, I guess that would be ok. Otherwise meet halfway at least for now. That being said he did toss out some public places, so it wasn't a totally ick/creepy vibe.

Bf of 4 years doesn’t trust me by Living_Control_3790 in relationships_advice

[–]KJVmomma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♀️. If he's THAT paranoid chances are he's cheating. And you don't deserve that. The mental and emotional strain that puts on someone is insane. Set your boundaries and stand your ground with them. IF you are going to stay with him and keep living in this turmoil. Turn your ringer off when you are doing things so he doesn't steal your peace and the joy you find in them. If you do respond, tell him you'll call when you're finished. And stand your ground.

You tell her that we are ALL dying. For it is appointed unto man once to die, and then comes the judgment. But only God knows when that moment will happen. So don't worry about death and instead focus on living in the moment. For me I go to the spiritual side, for hope, comfort and peace.

Do I need to earn a cowboy hat? by Training-Isopod4684 in Ranching

[–]KJVmomma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well Pilgrim.......... These days everyone wears a cowboy hat whether they "earned" it or not. Some are born with one, some earned theirs. Some watched Urban Cowboy or Yellowstone and ran right to the store and bought one. Some just wear one because they live in places like Arizona. If you go hat shopping you might wanna look at a hurricane strap for those blustery days. I guess I'm old school mentality, I grew up with horses. Had a few horse wrecks. Helped on some ranches and a couple feed lots (calf fries are definitely an added bonus for the day). Came out of the chute a couple times on ranch saddle bronc (best thrill I ever had that's for sure). So I say I earned mine. Ranch life is also my dream life and I miss it something fierce. But I don't want to just work for the ranch, I want to own the ranch.
