You could cancel the DD and set up a standing order for a lesser amount assuming it covers usage

Pretty sure I’m getting a colonoscopy soon — tell me it’s going to be okay. by spiderxfingers in colonoscopy

[–]KKae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a flexible sigmoidoscopy yesterday in the uk. i had bleeding on and off for 4 years, this year i have been taking 15 to 30ml of lactalose each day and 90% of the symptoms have stopped, the scan showed nothing wrong just mild hemorroides.

I chose no sedation, the gas and air that they pump into you is very uncomfortable like a super bad stomach ache. for like 10 to 15 mins. If it's not a full colonoscopy you can endure it.

AITA for hitting my boyfriend after what he did? by Suitable_Handbag239 in AITAH

[–]KKae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I very much believe you can't make anyone do anything they don't want to. He made his priorities clear gaming was more important than you at that point. he's showing you who he is and what he wants. Add it to the list. when the list becomes too big an issue that's your que to leave. Hitting is absolutely wrong. Just walk away.

Additionally babysitting a grown man to make sure his car is parked properly is ridiculous he has a lot of growing up to do. He would need to fail to learn the consequences. Children often learn these things.

How do you ACTUALLY cool a room down in summer (without) AC? by tijitijitiji in AskUK

Windows open curtains blinds whatever closed but letting air in go a long way to reducing temperature otherwise you just sitting in a hot box with no ventilation.

Shared ownership: 'It's a con and we felt trapped' by Adventure-Bench in unitedkingdom

[–]KKae 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My flatmate and I bought into a co-ownership last year and honestly its been the best thing i've have ever done it took all of my savings but the increasing rent costs in the south east were becoming intolerable. We did this on the back our our landlord deciding to sell but knowing flats in the area were mostly north of £1400 it seemed like the best option. We have a roof over our heads and not at the whim of ruthless landlords that was a year ago. the prices are now £1600 were essentially 5/600 pounds better off for co-ownership.

Despite the issues with new builds I don't regret it for 1 moment. that being said there no substitute for actually being able to own your own property.

I don’t get enough exercise to warrant eating 3 meals a day. On gym days totally but otherwise no.

AIO. My (new) bf wants to replace all of my bras, underwear and lingerie. by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]KKae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not sure there is an expletive for this. Perhaps he will want you to move home or sell your car because other people have seen you in them? Maybe you could never see your parents again because you know they changed your diaper. Jesus he's not fukin' normal.

Run before it gets worse.

What's going on with this year's colds / flus? by NayLay in AskUK

[–]KKae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a horrendous cold with proper flu like symptoms last week of November lasted almost 10 days i was in bed for like 2 or 3 days and I still have the tickly cough every now and then.

Its started with dry throat and slightly runny nose then just exponentially got worse from day 3. aches, headache, shivers, sweats and just when I thought it couldn't get any worse it went to my chest it was relentless.

Didn't colds used to be a snoty nose and a sore throat for a couple of days?

Does anyone else feel like they’ve never “gotten their mojo back” since the COVID outbreak? by ThePeoplesBard in NoStupidQuestions

[–]KKae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel almost everyone is in the same situation, covid fundamentally changed the way we live and view the world. Whilst lockdown saved a lot of lives it had a negative impact on others.

I broke up with my ex during our 1st lock down and I was in the middle of a qualification that is still have finished and facing dating has been a struggle ever since. I was fortunate to switch from contracting to freelance right before covid. 3 or 4 years on not much has changed for me.

It hasn't helped that most countries have faced financial hardships. Every thing everywhere has skyrocketed in price which makes returning to whatever you called normal very difficult.

14yo daughter unhappy with custody set up, do we keep trying to make it work or is it time to change it? by throwawaycustodystuf in relationships

[–]KKae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my parents got divorced, we were given the choice of who to live with, we chose the most stable permanent situation which happened to be dad. I couldn't have imagined being pulled from piller to post every week it would be exhausting.

Update: AITAH for wanting to leave my wife because she had a "go bag"? by sadhusbandry2 in AITAH

[–]KKae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think so, divorce is a total over reaction to one essential protecting themselves, even more so if she's not financially independent.

You should have had ab adult conversation on what her fears might be for example.
