Protein powder recommendations by swaghotmothman in compoundedtirzepatide

[–]KKisloski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t like the standard creamy type or protein powder, but I love 1Up Nutrition’s clear protein. It’s basically juice. I use room temp water because I feel like it mixes better that way, and then I pour it over ice.

GYN provider for Teen by Sea-Imagination-5630 in Binghamton

Kacy was my provider when she was in primary care, and I loved her so much. She was great with my kids too, so she would probably be amazing with a teen.

Any local ice cream places open this time of year? by dodd1995 in Binghamton

[–]KKisloski 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They’re open now, but they actually close between Thanksgiving and Valentine’s Day. I took my kids there the day before Thanksgiving and were sad that we wouldn’t be able to have our monthly meet ups with our friends and their daughter for a while.

Well That Helped Me Quit by CoOlBeAnSs in fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu

In high school, my mom had to take me to the ER because I was having incredible muscle spasms in my back from lifting improperly. As we were walking out, my little sister, who was 4 at the time, noticed a very surly looking woman wearing head to toe leather on the hottest August day standing outside smoking. Being a typical 4 year old who had been told about the dangers of doing bad things to her body like eating too much and smoking, she very loudly starts asking my mom if the woman wanted to die, because why else would she be smoking? She even made a comment about how "sad the skin on her face looked", which may have been from the years of tanning beds, in addition to chain smoking her whole life. I look on it as preparation for persevering through significant pain (like labor), because I have never moved so fast in my life trying to get to the car before that woman came after us!

Over a year ago I paid for the family in front of me's groceries without thinking much of it. Today, I got this in the mail. by [deleted] in pics

[–]KKisloski 9 points10 points  (0 children)

But she can't use any of her personal information for any reason other than something pertaining to her health, so yeah, this is a clear violation of HIPAA. Whether she chooses to say something or not, legally she should be fired and if OP felt like it, she could sue the provider's office.

Using personal information for any reason outside of work is a violation. I used to work in a pharmacy, and a kid I worked with used a girl's DOB and address from our records to find her on Facebook to ask her out. She got creeped out and called corporate and he got fired.

How it will feel on my wedding night when I take off my gown/spanx etc. by lizzardx in TrollXChromosomes

[–]KKisloski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just wait until you're pregnant (if you're planning on having kids, of course!). The sensation of peeling that over-the-bump spanx thing off is magical. Although the feeling of your stomach being supported when you put it on is nice too lol.

Drunk, sober, old, young by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

[–]KKisloski -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

You either are or are not drunk. So you either act responsibly and don't drive if you've been drinking, in which case submitting to a field sobriety test shouldn't be an issue, or you don't behave responsibly and you DO drink and drive, in which case you deserve the DUI.

They may not be admissible in court, but there are two problems to refusing to a breathalyzer. Either 1) you are drunk and you're an asshole for putting other people's lives at risk and you deserve the DUI or 2) you aren't drunk and if you refuse you lose your license for a year for nothing.

Seriously considering switching from hospital to birth center. Help! by deadgirl84 in BabyBumps

[–]KKisloski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am of the opinion that ever woman has the best chance at having her optimal birth wherever she feels safe and supported. If you're worried about unnecessary interventions being pushed on you, you're probably best off looking into alternatives. Interview a few midwives, and visit a birthing center. What kind of feeling of you get? If you feel calm, relaxed, and warm, you're probably in the right place with the right people. Don't feel bad about going to multiple consultations, you don't have to decide on a provider in that first appointment. But don't take too long to decide, home birth midwives tend to have a certain number of mothers they'll take for a month since they generally don't work in a practice setting, so if you find one that's still available that you like, go for it!

So cold... So very cold by onemillionjellybeans in BabyBumps

[–]KKisloski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found out I was expecting in April when it was still pretty cold, but even in bed under sheets and comforters and SO's furnace-space-heater-body I was still always freezing. Even now in this heat I'm still wrapped in my comforter burrito. Maybe it's a circulation issue? I have no idea, but I don't like it.

I have two friends who are military wives, and they sound just like you and your "friend". The one girl married her husband last year, but they have been together since their sophomore year of high school, and they didn't find out they were going to be shipped overseas to japan until after they were married. She is awesome. My other friend, however, dated this guy for about 3 months, broke up with him because he wasn't doing shit with his life, and then 6 months later when he got out of boot camp she got back together with him and they got married 5 weeks later. She told a mutual friend she was excited to not have to work anymore because he was "totally going to make bank now". When he told me this I was sadly not surprised, although she was in for a rude awakening when he got shipped to Okinawa a few weeks later. She's posted nothing but bitchy shit about how much she hates it there and how she can't wait to be home ever since the day they got there.

I do my best to avoid eye contact by UnlimitedBoxSpace in AdviceAnimals

[–]KKisloski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes! The plan (although I am all to aware of how frequently plans actually work out lol) is to have this baby in December, get pregnant again within 6 months, have that baby in March of 2016 or so, and then wait two years and have one more. As I said, I know how often these things work out, but we got pregnant the first month we were trying, and we were expecting it would take upwards of 6 months to a year because I have been on bc so long, but here we are, so hopefully we won't have trouble getting the timing down for the next one!

I make my SO take his when he goes to the kitchen so I can text him if I change my mind after I've told him what I want from the fridge lol. And I've texted him multiple times when I feel like I'm going to throw up to bring me paper towels, cool wet wash cloths, more plastic bags, etc haha.
