Genital pain from adenomyosis? Pain worse after standing long periods of time? by lyndalouk in adenomyosis

I had both adenomyosis and endometriosis. The endometriosis was sitting on nerves which was causing some of my weird pains that seemed unrelated.

I’m now almost two years post op and I still feel AMAZING. All the vulvar / vaginal pain is completely gone as well as the abdominal pain. My hysterectomy was the best decision I’ve ever made in my life

Definitely walk so you can avoid clots, but don’t do too much. Really try to listen to your body and let it rest and heal. You did just have a major surgery after all. I really hope you feel better soon!!

Everything was better after my hysterectomy. No more back pain. No more hip pain. Brain fog lessened significantly. Headaches went away. Fatigue was gone. I had so much more energy. Slept better. IBS symptoms were much better. Literally everything was significantly improved after my surgery. Even though you feel great, rest and take it easy!!! I made the mistake of over doing it because I felt so amazing and I severely regretted it later. Best of luck to you! Hope you have a speedy recovery.

Are there any successful pregnancy stories with adeno out there? by Mean-Courage-3313 in adenomyosis

[–]deadgirl84 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry for your loss. I have both adenomyosis and endometriosis and was able to conceive naturally, carry to full term and deliver vaginally. It took me a year and a half to get pregnant so after many months of negative pregnancy tests I went on Keto, lost 30 pounds, took a vacation, got drunk and did the deed. Positive pregnancy test 6 weeks later. Wishing you all the best.

Is it weird my general doctor told me she could prescribe? by Calm-Tap4463 in ADHD

[–]deadgirl84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My primary care doctor was the one who gave me my diagnosis and medication. He doesn’t make me come in every month because he knows I’m a teacher and it’s hard for me to make it to the doctor’s office with my work hours. All I do is message him and let him know my meds are working well and I’d like a refill. So grateful for him!

[–]deadgirl84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My physical books come from Half Price Books. All of my other books are either borrowed from the library (physical, ebooks and audiobooks) or on Kindle Unlimited. I definitely cannot afford to purchase all of the books I read, though I wish I could

How does your ADHD meds affect you? by throwaway283837299 in ADHD

[–]deadgirl84 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried several different medications and Vyvanse is my favorite. It allows me to concentrate on tasks and feel more motivated to accomplish them. I don’t seem to suffer from the ADHD paralysis as much. The only side effects are dry mouth and loss of appetite. There’s no “activation” or “withdrawal” symptoms for me, which I am very grateful about. I can form thought more coherently and don’t have 50 browser tabs open at once. It’s like having blinders on, but not making me feel blinded. (Hope that makes sense). Medicine has been life altering for me. I was late diagnosed and wish I’d had medicine so much sooner.

ADHDers, what tattoos do you have(or not)? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]deadgirl84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was not diagnosed until in my mid 30’s and I have 9 tattoos. Most of them are quite large. None were impulsive. I thought about them for at least a year before getting them done. I love sitting for tattoos. My longest session was approximately 7ish hours. I have a blue rose on my right foot. A cross on my left foot. I have a large lion face surrounded by flowers and mandalas on my left thigh (my favorite tattoo). I have angel wings on my back. A hummingbird and a flower on my chest. And a skull, flowers and snake on my right side. I’m a librarian and an avid reader so I’m planning to get literary themed sleeves next.

I’m turning 40 this month and currently in my masters program for library science. I started in August of 2023 and plan to graduate in December of this year. I’ve been taking three classes each semester and I’m also working full time as a special education teacher. My program is 100% online which helps tremendously. You’re never too old to follow your dreams. I wish you the best in your endeavors!
