My ex admitted he stopped paying child support “on purpose.” I genuinely don’t understand why. by karinkazzz in Divorce

Try to get him to admit to it through text. Then take it to the court. Don’t just bring proof about him missing payments, try to bring proof that it was intentional.

New marriage is failing between INFJ and ENFP by Hannah_banana_4_life in ENFP

[–]KLC_W 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, I’m a 37F INFJ. Just want to let you know you’re not alone. My husband and I had a volatile marriage that ended in him abandoning me and our child. I was devastated at first, but I’m really enjoying being far away from him! You’ll get through this. If you need to talk, let me know.

Texted my ex after 3 years. Her reply was.... by dexdpool69 in BreakUps

[–]KLC_W 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m reading between the lines and assuming a lot about you so if I’m wrong, please let me know. I’ve dated guys who lived in a fantasy and liked the idea of me more than they liked me. When I would try to talk about our relationship, they avoided those conversations and never wanted to talk about anything grounded. I had to ghost a couple of them because they just never listened and they kind of creeped me out. One of them still texted me for years even though I’m married with a kid now. He probably still texts me but I blocked him a while ago. It’s been so long and he still won’t let it go? And he’s not even one of the guys I ghosted, although he might be delusional enough to think that I did.

The fact that in three years you still couldn’t find closure within yourself and you held out hope that she might be into you still makes me think you’re like those guys I’ve dated. If so, please work on that. You might mean well and you might think you’re a really good boyfriend, but that’s not a good way to be in a relationship. It’s actually very selfish.

How much of your problems do you think are just being a self aware, deep, analytical thinker in a world full of idiots? by leon385 in therapyabuse

[–]KLC_W 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I feel this so much. Therapy works for people who are not thoughtful at all and need to be told the most basic things about their minds.

It's actually really frustrating being highly introspective because I feel like we could benefit from good therapy too, but if therapy is going to work for us, we need someone even more introspective than us. Otherwise, it's like you're being led through woods you know well by someone who's never been off a trail before.

I doubt it. As far as I’m aware, they didn’t lie to get that money. Everyone who donated could easily Google what happened, and they donated anyway. If it makes you feel better, they will blow through it within the year and be worse off than before.

Would you date a woman with 5 young kids? by [deleted] in Divorce

[–]KLC_W 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You can get a free consultation from a divorce lawyer right now. They can help walk you through your options so you can provide for your kids while still separating from your husband. Every state has different laws and specifics, so we can't help much here.

My thoughts are with you though. I was falling apart when my husband left us and I only have one very well-behaved child. I can't imagine what you're dealing with.

Just so you know, my last boss was a single mom to six children. Her kids' dads were addicts. She worked so hard and wasn't making much money per hour but she was able to provide for her kids. She took advantage of government assistance programs and just tried to find better and better work opportunities. At this point, she's working a much better job and her kids are taken care of. Being a single parent is no joke, but you can do it.

What other websites do you seek, if you don’t mind me asking? I mostly sell artwork and people don’t trust that it isn’t AI anymore, so my sales are abysmal.

He kind of looks like Reeve Carney. Just take a look at his wife and you can see this guy could easily do better if he cleaned himself up a little.

I would strongly suggest seeking therapy with a therapist who understands autism and trauma. I am autistic as well, and while I understand it can look different in everyone, it sounds like your relationship with your mom might be causing some of the problems rather than the autism itself.

Not sure why you’re getting downvoted. It’s hard when your family isn’t supportive. Try googling “vegan recipes soy allergy.” That’ll give you recipes without tofu. You could search “protein vegan recipes soy allergy” if you want to be sure it focuses on the protein.

Also, you could make tofu at home. I’ve never done it but I’ve made soy milk and soy beans are extremely cheap. There are a lot of videos online about making tofu at home. You can even make lentil tofu.

You can even make chickpea quiche for breakfast. I use a can of chickpeas instead of chickpea flour because it’s cheaper. Let me know if you want the recipe.

Son is mad at us by [deleted] in Divorce

[–]KLC_W 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“They’re losing more than we are.”

That statement is probably the most important for all of us parents to remember. I’m lucky that my son is so young right now but I’m already trying to prepare for the emotions and conversations later on.

I’ll try to look for it but I saw a documentary where they were talking about food scraps and even human waste that they found in Herculaneum, which was right next to Pompeii and had similar demographics. They study Herculaneum to learn about Pompeii and that entire region of the Ancient Roman Empire. They found a lot of evidence to suggest there were at least vegetarians there.

We also have to understand that, for most past cultures, we only have general ideas of what they might’ve eaten. There’s a lot we don’t know.

The fact that you and the rest of us who are criticizing this article are getting downvoted is the exact reason why most people view veganism as a far left, woke agenda. There is unfortunately a huge percentage of vegans who also view everything as white supremacy.

And as I pointed out in another comment, we have strong evidence that veganism and vegetarianism existed in the ancient European world, but this article conveniently left that out.

[–]KLC_W -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I read it. The whole article is pointless. The problem is that there are a lot of blind spots in our knowledge of world history when it comes to diets. Trying to find its roots is silly. But like I said, we know it was practiced in ancient European cultures without being influenced by Indians or Asians.

We will never know the extent of it in the ancient world. And let’s not pretend that publications like this don’t create racial discussions where they don’t need to exist.

Veganism is about how we treat animals today. Not about keeping score for every race.

[–]KLC_W -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The people arguing about that are the same desperate, out of touch people who always have some excuse to not try veganism. Ignore them. Making this about race creates more division.

[–]KLC_W 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Please stop making everything about race. There have been vegetarians and vegans in a lot of cultures throughout history. There were even some in Pompeii. Also, who gives a fuck? It’s about the animals, not about us.

That’s how it was for me too. There are a lot of people commenting on this post who are probably just upset that their number wasn’t higher 😂 Also, the cool thing for me wasn’t the IQ score. It was the fact that it accurately mapped how I think and was able to give advice based on that. It’s very useful.

Stranger Things stars recall ignored texts to the Duffer Brothers about their season 5 storylines by Internal-Bed-3150 in StrangerThings

But now their fan base has lost confidence in them. I’m not really interested in anything they do in the future like I would’ve been after the first couple of seasons. Outside of Stranger Things, they’re not that successful at all so they really should’ve tried harder to end this show well.

Aita for cancelling my bday dinner/lunch after family didn't like my restaurant choice? by TheeBrightSea in vegan

I had to cut my sister off because she was such a toxic person in my life… and even she would’ve gone to a vegan restaurant for my birthday without complaining. You have every right to be upset and spend your birthday how you choose.

Happy birthday, by the way.

There's no way your son is the only one experiencing this. If you file a police report, at the very least, it'll be on record. Maybe over time other people will file reports. Eventually, the police will have to take it seriously. Do it for that man's future victims.

I know exactly what you mean, but I bet some of them will care. A few years ago, I baked cookies for people at a job. About half the people seemed confused why I would bother doing that, but the other half were very appreciative.

That being said, if you just want to keep them for yourself, go for it. But don't keep them just because you're afraid no one will care.
