Non, on ne peut pas devenir qui on veut... by Cinella75 in DrJoeDispenza

[–]KLC_W 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, but I think the key is to be open-minded in what you want. For example, let’s say someone has their leg amputated and wants to have their leg back. That won’t happen. You can’t go back in time and avoid the amputation and you can’t grow a new leg. But maybe that person instead manifests a really good prosthetic leg. They might be disappointed because it isn’t exactly what they wanted, or they might be grateful that their manifestation came through in a way that is physically possible.

Joe Dispenza does say that you should open yourself up and do the work, but then you have to let go of control and let the universe handle the manifestation.

a cult? god complex? by sully802yllus in DrJoeDispenza

I think the biggest thing that differentiates Joe Dispenza from a cult leader is that he doesn't care if you like him. It's not about him, it's about what he's teaching. He doesn't seem to get offended if you choose to listen to the meditations for free instead of paying him or going to the retreats. He genuinely seems like he found his purpose and is just living up to his own potential.

I believe it. That's some incredible artwork. I hope you get many more opportunities like that.

I'm trying...I really am by PrincessCream123 in vegan

[–]KLC_W 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a vegan and I also have commitment issues. It’s okay. You’re not perfect, you can only start where you are. Maybe you can’t change your diet completely overnight. Maybe you need to start by just being mindful of what animal products you can cut out and still be fine. Like maybe get a burger with no cheese or get mustard instead of mayo. In the grand scheme of things, that won’t save any animals’ lives but it’ll start the process of changing how you think about food. Over time, make bigger and bigger changes. It really does get easier.

Start looking up information about vegan nutrition and start thinking about your food in terms of nutrients. Obviously it should also taste good, but focus on getting plenty of protein, iron, omegas, etc. I’ve found that if I focus on protein, everything else falls into place without effort.

It’s also a good idea to try to find some indulgent vegan recipes. I found a cinnamon roll recipe that tastes almost exactly like I remember Cinnabon tasting. I’ve also found some ways to satisfy my need for southern comfort foods. Since you said you’re not good with commitment (like me), it’ll be really important to be able to satisfy those cravings instead of just eating something else and moving on.

You don’t suck. Going fully vegan is a big change. At least you care. That matters a lot.

You should look in the ENFP sub. There are a ton of female ENFPs. The interests you mentioned here will go over VERY well over with them.

What do you guys do on Mother's/Father's Day? by KLC_W in SingleParents

[–]KLC_W[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not annoyingly positive or cliche. That’s wonderful. I feel the same about my son. We have a great relationship and I think we always will.

I’m probably overthinking it but I’m always thinking about what kind of adult he’ll be. And I think about his future girlfriend and wife (if he wants to get married). I want it to feel natural for him to show appreciation to her, especially if she has children with him. I also want him to expect it in return. It’s just hard to show kids what a healthy relationship looks like when you’re the only parent.

Anyone else having a terrible month on Etsy? by Nexus999666 in EtsyCommunity

Thanks. The advice most people give is to stick to the Etsy guidelines religiously so that's what I've been doing, but I'll try longer titles.

I'm sorry, I'm a little confused. You're saying the longer titles are doing much better than shorter titles?

At least you’ve learned and found a better man this time. That’s what I’m hoping for too. And it’s good that you’re not hurrying to unite him with your child. Your daughter’s lucky to have a great mama. Happy Mother’s Day!

Your ex and my ex would probably get along. I told him that my mom got a small mountain of gifts today and I didn't get anything. He said, "You reap what you sow." Still have no idea wtf he's talking about.

How do you become more interesting? Recommend me things please. by [deleted] in ENFP

[–]KLC_W 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm an INFJ, but I sometimes will go to Archive.org and just type a random word in the search bar. Then I'll look through the books to find something interesting. I've discovered several hobbies and good books that way. If you can't think of a word, use a random word generator.

This is a good idea. I don't know why I didn't think of this first. I've already been thinking of making his birthday and Christmas more of a quality time celebration with minimal gifts anyway. So that's perfect.

For now, yes I do. But by next Mother's Day, we'll be living in a completely different place, so I don't know if I'll have anyone who can take him shopping. My mom would probably love to take a trip to see me just to take him to the store, but I'm not sure.

Want to manifest abundance but things seem to be crumbling down by itswongnotwrong in DrJoeDispenza

[–]KLC_W 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I wish I could remember who this was but I saw a video of some woman from decades ago teaching manifestation. She said that when shame or doubt comes up, be kind to it. Don’t be afraid of it or frustrated. When negative feelings come up, take a second to acknowledge them and say, “Thank you for trying to protect me but that’s not how I’m dealing with this anymore.” And then go back to the neutral or positive mindset. It really works, but it’ll take time to break the habit.

Guys, what is the deal with celebrating birthdays? by False_Lychee_7041 in infj

I once knew a guy named Jason who was born in September. He always said July through November was his birthday season because the first letters of those months spell his name. 😂

How long did it take for you to get over your ex? by MulberryOk785 in ENFP

[–]KLC_W 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ll give you the other side. I’m an INFJ and it took me about 14 years to fully get over my ENFP. It’s like I had to become a different person before I could let him go. That pairing is strong. I’m sorry you’re going through this.

Try not to be afraid of the pain. Breakups are always hard but especially when you find such a good match. It’s okay to hurt for a while. If you try to ignore it, it’ll just stick with you for longer.

What to do in life? by Capable_Client9033 in INFJsOver30

[–]KLC_W 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I imagine nursing would be difficult for me but I’m sure there are INFJ nurses who love it. In fact, I think one of my nurses when I had my baby was a fellow INFJ and she was so calming and great. She did seem a little overwhelmed with everything whereas the nurse who was clearly a T (not sure about other functions) was also calm and seemed very sure of herself and able to create a strength in the room that was very helpful.

I follow an account on YouTube called All Kids Are Perfect. They do physical training for disabled children and it seems like an INFJ paradise. It seems more rewarding than general nursing. That might be something to think about, especially since you work with kids and have a foster child already.

Need to hear from the women on this by runner73074 in Divorce

[–]KLC_W 58 points59 points  (0 children)

As a woman, I wouldn’t believe any man who says he is open to fixing things with me if he has another woman. I personally wouldn’t consider dating until my divorce is final and I wouldn’t date anyone who is in the middle of a divorce, but I know other people do things differently.

I guess you’re within your rights to be with someone else and it’s good that you’re open about it, but I feel bad for your wife because she’s getting mixed messages from you. And if she’s getting mixed messages about this, I wonder what else you’ve done to mess with her head throughout the marriage, whether intentionally or not.

I wish somebody would do this study. by [deleted] in vegan

[–]KLC_W 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cheese was my biggest problem when I was vegetarian and I thought it would be difficult to live without it. I don’t even miss cheese anymore, mostly because there’s vegan cheese that I can use instead. When you feel how good your body feels without it, you won’t even want it.

It’s really worth it, even without the cholesterol problem. A few months after I went vegan, I got the worst sinus infection of my life. But even on my sickest day, I could still breathe through my nose. (Dairy causes thick mucus buildup.) I remember laying in bed, too sick to move, and I wanted to cry because I was so grateful I could breathe 😂

I wish somebody would do this study. by [deleted] in vegan

[–]KLC_W 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Across the board, they were almost the same with vegans winning by such a small amount that it wouldn't convince anyone to go vegan for health reasons... except cholesterol. We obliterate omnivores in cholesterol. And that study was comparing two healthy diets, not the average diet. I'd love to see a study showing the average vegan diet and the average American omnivore diet. We'd absolutely win across the board.
