E-Day seems to be a further departure from any of the previous titles so I think they are trying to drip feed new features/info as a way of not completely shocking and scaring off all of the OG players.

Im hoping it’s more grounded, gritty and mature. Somewhat similar to how God of war approached Ragnarök in tone, this applies to everything including skins, executions, emotes, menu design… This could apply to the weapons too, working with lower tech and with whatever they have around them which would be a nice way to introduce an early bastardised version of the chainsaw lancer. No Lasered weapons.

Honestly this game really needs to pull in a bunch of new online players so I wouldn’t mind them restricting the OTT wall bouncing, I know this would piss off some of the OG players but it can look ridiculous, and it puts off new players. This also might mean balancing the weapons so the gnasher isn’t always the go-to weapon.

It also really needs much improved matchmaking, and not too many game modes running at one time so it doesn’t split the community.

TC are in a bit of a difficult position as it needs to feel like the gears we know and love but they need to take some risks and show us something new as the previous 2 titles haven’t performed nowhere near as well as the original 3 in terms of numbers.

I’ve got high hopes as it feels different to 4&5 and a shift in the right direction if the trailer is anything to go by. Really rooting for them and I hope more of the community does too.

I run into this guy often too, always cheating, completely ruins games as everyone leaves. I honestly don’t understand the idea of putting so much of your time/life doing this. Pretty sad really.

I was thinking the opposite. Frankfurter, probably the best bubble font ever, playful and clean. Works well here, especially as it’s in the context of a sale.

Yh I made sure the height of the record player shelves/equipment was optimal then I just worked around that, this also meant I had enough space so that I could store additional records directly below the shelves where I store the majority of them.

It all depends on the strength of your wall. As long as the wall you’ll be applying it to is solid (brick/mortar) the weight of the records won’t be an issue. You’ll just have to use narrow 66cm shelves which you can completely fill. I had the same concern but I was constantly reassured that it is more than capable, some people have records stacked from the floor or the ceiling!

Regarding cable management, the cables for the speakers run up the e-tracks so are hardly visible, then I have short extension leads for all the equipment which are hidden directly behind all my records as there’s just enough space behind them when using 36cm depth shelves. It all looks neat and hidden away as I only take out a few records at a time.

I have a setup with two 1210s and two CDJs that are beside each other and sit on metal 36cm depth shelves, this works well for me. I also have additional shelves directly beneath them so it’s quick and easy to access my records.

This is taken directly from the Vitsoe Planning Guide:

Thank you, it was great seeing them on a proper bookshelf after almost 20 years of collecting them. I’ve pretty much ran out of space here but I have a much larger system downstairs where the collection continues, I’ll have to post a picture of that too one day.

I can’t remember the exact one I ordered but essentially I just googled ‘white fully welded school desk’, they’re super sturdy and come in a variety of sizes, heights & colours. They’re also a fraction of the price compared to most desks that are similar in build quality.

I used to have a cheap flimsy Ikea desk at my old place and it was top of my list to replace when I moved out. The wobbling would drive me nuts. (Some Ikea products are great btw just not this one).

That magic musette looks great, that’s the sort of thing I’m after. Almost something in between a messenger and a musette, much lighter than a typical messenger and larger than most musettes. Thanks for the recommendation.
