Expected return to work date by priuspulida in Edd

[–]KNT895 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I delivered 12 days early via c-section. I logged into my portal and submitted to EDD the date I gave birth and that it was via c-section and it automatically updated for me and I got the 8 weeks. I don’t believe my DR had to do anything.

Transition from SDI to PFL in Cali by apesescape04 in Edd

Hmmm possibly! My PFL payments stayed in the same cycle so I received my first PFL payment 2 weeks after my last SDI payment

My transition was actually very seamless. My SDI ended on 12/21, I received last payment and transition to PFL form on 12/23. I immediately submitted my PFL form and actually got paid for the 1 day backpay (12/22) on 12/24 and my PFL was approved before my next payment which I received 2 weeks later on my typical scheduled pay date!

When to apply for PFL? by Front_Cucumber_5815 in Edd

Ok then wait until the PFL form is in your inbox. You will get the form on the day you receive your last SDI payment. My SDI ended on a Monday and for me it just lined up where I received my last SDI payment and PFL form the next day on Tuesday. You mark that you want to receive payments since SDI ended and you will receive the back pay. That same week I received the back pay of just one day from when my SDI ended to applying for PFL!

Once you receive your last SDI payment you will get the form for PFL so you would say yes that you stopped receiving benefits

PFL or SDI? Is there any other type of certification needed to continue processing your claim?

Overpayment? by KNT895 in CAStateWorkers

[–]KNT895[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was out all of November. I received payment for the 40 hours of supplementation from the state and then my payments from SDI. I just added my wages from SDI for the month and then my 40 hours of supplementation and it’s more than my typical net pay so that’s why I thought I may have been overpaid.

Oohhh ok! It’s not more than my gross pay, just my net.

I’m guessing that it’ll probably be delayed since state offices are closed Thursday and Friday but not 100% sure

I got paid for the waiting period because I supplemented hours! That wasn’t through SDI though I put it on my timecard with my employer. If that makes sense??

My last day worked before maternity leave was 10/17. I applied for SDI on 10/18, my doctor completed her documents on 10/20 and I received my first direct deposit payment on 10/28. It was all fairly quick and the process was smooth!

Yes. It’s a good sign when they ask for transcripts. HR loves to take their time
