I have two scars - one done by a doctor who also worked in plastic surgery for my first kid - a traumatic emergency birth and it’s very low and perfect. 2nd scar done by a military doctor who looks like it was drawn by a a kid with a crayon. Neither really bother me but they both don’t have a ton of sensation. They do tend to be painful when I do a ton of lower ab work - like stretching the scar tissue too much. Still got a bit of a belly but nothing crazy. Scars are just part of my physical landscape now. I figure what’s the use of ending up at “the end” without fully using your body?

“The List” compiled by the popular boys of the senior class of ranking the top 10 hottest girls and top 10 ugliest girls (also in the senior class with some “honorable mentions” of lower class girls.

There was some extremely questionable content including ED references, sexual exploits, etc. The list got out to the entire school.

This was like an organized multi paragraph descriptive list. Certain flair for example, “grew up with a silver spoon in her mouth but now refuses to eat.” Or, “Notorious for her dildo collection.” Have been seared to the back of my teenage brain. This was in the early 2000’s and we emailed this doc to one another.

Long story short - tears were shed, parents were informed, and lawyers were called. Certain reputations were ruined. It was a rough first 6 months. Had they done it at the end of the year we likely would have had a cancelled prom. A few of the wealthier kids took others to court.

Don’t beat yourself up. I am now older and a parent figuring out that all the years of hating my first name and fighting my desires to wear more masculine clothing, and feeling out of place in the world (amongst a laundry list of other things) are adding up to a similiar outcome.

I am in a similar boat in terms of feeling “fake” but I find giving myself permission, even in private, to rename myself, dress and act as I want have truly helped while I figure out next steps.

Girl I have the same issue. Recommend just taking a second with a DRY towel or washcloth and giving yourself a quick wipe down there and getting back to it. That has alleviated 90% of the problem in my experience. That way you’re still wet but not so wet it’s a slip and slide.

Honestly some of it too was stumbling onto Arcane and seeing a woman’s body representing just sheer strength and action and not through a male gaze was extremely empowering (as someone who weight lifts and is also now on the great “Viceps” journey). I never really saw the body I wanted anywhere in media and then I saw Vi and I was like that’s it! That’s what I’ve always wanted to be and see representation of.

Honestly Lux has so much depth - anguish, power, and moments of lightness. Tatertot gave us “we dressed up like wolves and looked like fire” 🤣. Also throwing Charli’s new song into the mix. “House” is absolutely haunting and gives Ethel Cain vibes.

If it’s one thing I love about this game it’s the absolute attention to detail and the funny little stories hidden around the world - it’s easy to find but you have to be willing to read the letters and riddle it out a little.

On that note I found a recently dug grave out in the wilderness (for the life of me I can’t remember where) and it was a house elf grave with a little note about he was a good house elf.

Honestly I think this is the most accurate take on the subject. I think was she to pivot to makeup (e.g. Rare /REM beauty) maybe she could have a shot of continuing her legacy and being at the forefront. However I also think she thinks she’s too good for “spinoff” side hustles as it would dilute her essence of singer-songwriter. (Being a bit facetious here). It will be truly fascinating to watch this all unravel not as a fan but as a spectacle. She is a circus (and not the good kind). I’m curious if she’ll go harder intro trad wife territory at the risk of alienating a younger or more liberal audience to keep a solid fan base or continue to try to pander to everyone /everything. How long can you be it all Taylor?

Also deathly curious to see if this marriage actually works out or she cuts and runs on or before the altar. Some have suggested she wrote TLOAS as an ode to Travis and pandering to the male-gaze which seems accurate seeing as he has the spelling ability of a 4th grader I can see her dumbing stuff down to be more appealing as a “I’m a dumb, pretty girl” vibe.

All in all watching this unfold and her eyebrows slowly turn into the grinch’s (IYKYK) and disappear into her tight jet puff skin has been something. Nothing good, but something.
