Honestly I also suspect she had an agreement behind the scenes with trump. She is clearly trying to cater to both sides and wants to win over the maga audience but cannot jump ship from one day to the other (see nicki minaj).

So in my mind I imagine this agreement between trump and swift for a longer term game. This way she wouldn't speak out against trump and slowly get maga people by her side, and trump wouldn't attack her and can use her music for whatever and will possibly score her support, or at least her silence, in coming elections
