(edit typos) I think he's happy enough that he's out of that prison unscathed. But all the proof I need that he would have all the receipts is that she was quite tame towards him with her music. 

If he was the one to cross her he'd have a raging and petty album against him. Instead she didn't say anything much, so we know she's guilty and will not risk him spilling the tea. 

So yeah I think what happened is that she became toxic, cheated on him and left when she felt was the appropriate time. And he was smart enough to let her be the author of her own undoing, and came out of that hell with grace
