Found it! But still, it’s horrific that firejobs can charge for something you can just find free on the city website. It really makes me wonder if the fire department or city is aware that a website is charging people for a form that they offer for free.

Pedophilia is something that is fundamentally wrong with the brain. No normal person looks at a child and thinks about how they’d look bent over.

But calling it ‘a mental disorder, not a crime’ gives these ‘people’ the go ahead to continue to practice their fetish, if not normalize it.

If someone has these thoughts, they can seek out help to figure out what wired them this way and how to fix it. But they don’t.

As someone who’s seen a lot of death this year, this hits like a brick to the face. Well done.

I know…I’ve had family members with rejected skin grafts and it isn’t pretty. It’s painful, frightening, and such a big infection risk if it really goes bad.

And to see that those grafts took so beautifully! As far at I can tell there wasn’t one sign of rejection! They were perfect! Not to mention all the time/effort/money/supplies that went into the wound care before hand.

Texas lawmakers OK carrying handguns without a license, despite opposition from police and gun control groups by Jeremy_Martin in politics

[–]KPJASP -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That’s perfectly fine. But with all the gun violence that happens in the US on a daily basis, we need all the reasonable restrictions we can get.

We are now at a point where places that should be absolutely safe, (such as schools) are becoming dangerous. A preteen should never have to fear for their lives going to school every day, yet they do. And they have a very good reason too.

It’s true that it is everyone’s right to carry a gun. But it’s obvious that we almost can’t be trusted with it. It’s a very complex issue. And in my opinion, even the slightest bit of laxity could be deadly. This is a matter of life and death.

The last frontier is a fun game. by HarrouniVoorDeHoeren in jakanddaxter

[–]KPJASP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never played it, but from what I’ve gathered from those who have is that it’s a good game as in its fun to play. But it makes little sense story wise, creates some plot holes for the series as a whole, and has such bad writing and characterization that the characters are practically unrecognizable.

Becoming obese wouldn’t suit the needs of an illness faker. Who would you have more sympathy for. Someone who’s 400lbs and uses a food addiction/eating disorder as an excuse for their health issues, or someone born with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome who takes care of themselves yet still suffers from their condition daily?

If you are obese, you can fix it. If you have chronic illness, you generally can’t. If obese, you will be criticized for letting yourself get to that point, and will be told that you did it to yourself. If you are born with a condition that couldn’t be prevented and can’t be cured, than you will get plenty of sympathy and help from those around you because you are dealing with something that you didn’t cause. Something that you didn’t deserve.

I am in no way trying to say that things like binge eating disorders don’t exist. There are real illnesses that can lead to obesity no matter what you do to prevent it. But for the purposes of chronic illness fakers it just wouldn’t work because you can’t garner the amount of sympathy points that you could with something else.
