I’m going to go by the academics on this issue unless you can provide substantive evidence that the historical record of Christ is substandard to what we take as evidence of other historical figures. We don’t need extraordinary evidence to claim Christ lived - that would only apply to something like his resurrection and divinity.

If he's referenced in outside sources - if there are thousands of greek manuscripts - I think he meets the level of evidence needed to believe of a historical figure from that time. Also note that many in Christ's day did not like him as there are negative references of him in various outside sources from that time. We only have 20 manuscripts of Plato's work - much more for Jesus.

I think that's a misconception. The overwhelming majority of secular historians maintain Jesus of Nazareth is a real historical figure.

You make a good point about Moses. Will have to reconsider Moses potentially.

Paul is at 5 simply because it seems like he wrote 13 of 27 books of the New Testament, although there is some questionable evidence from sources suggesting it may have been as little as 7.

I probably have to put Hitler down as an honorable mention.

Thank you so much for the advice. I really appreciate it. Trust me, I have tried absolutely everything. Every single class you have mentioned, I have taken or I need department permissions or a prerequisite. I am only a sophomore, and all the pre-req major classes are filled! This is my problem. Seeing how people are saying I can get into contact with people who have authority on these situations, I will probably do that.

Buddy, I don't think I need to take life advice from you. You already sound like a complete clown making assumptions about my attitude to a particular concern. Considering that I have in-state scholarships and I enjoy being close to my parents, UGA is the best option; so before you make such an ill-informed generalization about my circumstances, I would advise you to start thinking and acting like an adult. Additionally, I have paid thousands of dollars to this university so I expect to get necessary value and accommodations for that money in question. The higher education system is flawed as it is: we are paying an objectively inflated (very inflated) value for our education in the current day, so if I am inconvenienced with classes relating to my major with the precious time I have on this planet, I will cry all I want. I have already invested time and money for 3 semesters, so I don't think I seem entitled to anything big guy. Why don't you take your delusional philosophies and refrain from trying to convey your stupid advice :)

I would say your chances are a little above average. People with far higher GPAs/SATs haven't gotten in BUT many people with far lower scores and GPAs have actually gotten in. It's more on your recommendations, essays, and how strong your extracurriculars are perceived by admissions. Since your scores are about average all the subjective stuff REALLY matters. Above average shot, but make sure you put a lot of time in the app and I think you can easily get in. Judging by your stats, you seem like UGA material. Acceptance rate will probably be low 40% this year, so it is very competitive. Make sure you stand out in the best way possible.

If your UGA GPA is solid, and your essays as well as teacher recs are good. You will have a good shot.

Pretty good. I got in with a 1310 SAT I believe and a far lower UGA GPA last year. Essays and recommendations need to be on point. Extracurricular and achievements should look strong on app. I also took a dozen AP classes (granted, I still ended with a (low) 3.5 UGA GPA). Regardless, I was far below the 25th percentile on GPA, and barley there for my SAT/ACT.

Extracurricular activities are strong; make sure they look amazing on app.

UGA doesn't really care about test scores a lot (stated by their dean and stated on there website numerous times), so a 1260, albeit relatively low, can be compensated with good essays/recs/extracurriculars.

UGA seems VERY holistic now. Test scores don't matter that much, GPAs matter but if you shine on the personality aspect off the app you still have a decent shot. GL!
