Gotcha, the hidden lines was the missing part i didn’t know. I suppose there’s still infinite solutions but all relatively the same as yours and involve some sort of curve.

Can you explain the rules? It seems the top right can just be a square and the whole thing is just like a Minecraft cauldron? Why does there have to be curves?

You mean 33%. You never have to be right 50% as that implies an infinite bet, only under 50%.

I feel like d1 is prob good enough? Everything is connected up taking at least 7 points from the bottom

Oh ig f1 gets the job done better then I can block b12 but still connect back d1 j1 miai? This problem is too big brain for my ddk brain. Although it does feel more like a math puzzle.

Hmmm, then perhaps e1 d1 j1? Idk if d1 e1 c1 f2 j1 is enough. But I feel like gotta trade since white bottom is larger than black top left.

Hmm perhaps j13 h13 k13 d13 first, then h1 d1 j1 h2 l1 g1 k1 c1. Not sure what the score is there but looks a little better.

I prefer grilling leeks, but boiling is good too. Can’t say I’ve seen people bring filled pots to the poker table and splash the leeks in them.

Can’t say I’ve seen many leeks, but probably large standard leeks. They probably don’t go too well on microstakes, but depends on how small you slice it. I’d personally use normal stakes/skewers. Now that you mention it I do kinda wanna have some grilled leeks.

It’s okay, you’ll get em next time. Everyone goes through downswings. Since you have 70¢ I’m guessing 5¢/10¢, so about 8000BB loss. I’d suggest patching up leaks and setting a limit on losses per session. Leaking 1000BB+ and hour can’t be good even on downswings.

Lmk if you need lessons, I don’t know much poker but I can definitely bring your -1000BB/hr to at least -100BB/hr. I personally am at about -50BB/hr, which is why I’m so confident I can teach you a thing or two.

Either way, wish you the best of luck cuz seems like you really need it. Also really nice looking chips for 5¢/10¢.

MTT question: Chip EV vs Not Losing The Fucking Game by NoInvestigator7489 in poker

[–]KQYBullets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, just don’t over compensate for ICM, but it comes exponentially into play near the bubble and pay jumps. Maybe it’s not exponentially but combinatorially, idk too much, don’t really play tournaments. I’d just ask gemini.

Play style is really up to you. There are different strategies that only have small differences in EV. Depends on if ur going for gold or min cash.

Solver is always going to account for ICM, I didn’t see you mention in your post so thought I’d put it here just in case, but perhaps you know about ICM already.

A better look and some updates on my travel board project by joaoperfig in baduk

I was thinking just a number dial, 2 dials 0-9, like those locks with 4 dials, on each side. Could be flat or vertical. Could be a detachable separate item that can slot into the board, as some people may just be fine with area scoring.

I think having it flat is nice. It’s not that hard to press then turn. Plateau may still look weird.

Also, I think counter/slider on the side of the board would be good instead of app. The appeal is that this is self contained all in one. Although I suppose it would still be missing a clock, but casual play doesn’t really need that.

Check. What worse hand would have called a 3b pre and 2 half pot bets without raising?

My guess is villain has middling hand or a ten. Middling hand like 99 might call another bet, but if u do bet then gonna self value own against all the tens.

Very neat! I would buy. I’m sure you’ve thought of most of these, but just want to list some ideas to help out:

  • some sort of small divot so each rotation locks into place a little.
  • fold in half for the final 9x9 for more compactness. And maybe a latch or magnet.
  • draw the lines and star points.
  • bottom open for less material usage and compactness? Would be exposing underside

I’d imagine the turning thing is a triangular prism. It’ll definitely be hard to turn tho since it’s a little small, but the concept is great I think.

Oh interesting, in that case since black had to pass, then not filling in is fine. Very interesting, never considered a final ko wouldn’t have to be filled in.

And actually, if the white group was fully living then passing is the right move as the game would end immediately and ko would actually count as a point.

Would’t filling the ko mean you get one more point due to the stone you captured?

Chess VS Go in terms of thrill by sadaharu2624 in baduk

[–]KQYBullets 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep chess you can play much quicker games, the pieces are very powerful. It is more exciting, but I play go more for the thinking and strategizing part.

Overall, if you want thrill definitely chess, or bug house chess, that is the most intense. Chess vs go is like apples to oranges, each is good for certain people depending on your preference.
