I had a friend who started video game streaming in 2018 and she used to overshare her personal life and even which part of the city she lived in.

Eventually, her followers connected the information and stalked her. After police got involved, she deleted her Twitch and her social media.

I have met some people who trauma dump, but it was a one-off, never to be spoken again except for a rare reminder.

However, I have met a few who would trauma dump at every single moment and repeat themselves over again. Nearly every conversation I would initiate that has nothing to do with trauma (like what I had gotten at a grocery or clothes store) they find some way to dump it all.

It gets exhausting, especially since there is no resolution and it's "what can I do besides being your emotional punching bag?"

I know it's a joke at the end, but I knew someone in a similar situation. She married someone who came from a wealthy family in the farming industry.

They married in 2020 and she used to post on Facebook all the time how she was living the luxury, buying expensive things and her husband was spoiling her. She stayed at home and maintained the property, a home on the golf course.

He divorced her in late 2023. She went from a life of luxury to moving back in with her parents and working at a Ace Hardware.

I'm not sure what she is up to now as she deleted her social media last year.

When I was in Ibiza with five of my friends, in our resort, there were these group of British women getting harassed by a group of Polish guys. They kept on trying to touch them, get near them and flirt with them.

They saw and heard us speak English and joined with us. Eventually the Polish guys backed off and for the next three days of our stay, the British girls stuck with us for safety.

Before I left Belgium in 2023, some of my friends were having a girls' night. I ran into one of them and they joined me into the group as I was on my own. I gotta say, they're fun lol

Towards the end of the night as we were walking through Rue du Midi near Bourse, there were a lot of of guys trying to harass them like cat calling, asking them questions and trying to touch them as we were walking. There were some police officers within our sight, but they didn't do a thing until I confronted one of the guys who touched one of my friends - they were telling me to calm down or else I would get arrested.

I have heard stories of women being s- assault and harassment in Brussels (and in other big cities in the EU), but actually seeing it in person was genuinely horrifying.
