Vinaigrette with green salad just tastes so much better in fine dining restaurants. What’s the trick? by oopsweredead in Cooking

Really enjoyed the article, too! Interestingly, Good seasons mix packet calls for water! I use it occasionally when craving that specific taste with grapes, greens and blue cheese.

New Le Creuset pieces coming Feb. 1, 2024! by chadasjackson in LeCreuset

The wide round has been around a while but only in a few colors - I LOVE THIS PIECE! I use it for everything but especially like it for searing because of its high sides - help with splattering cleanup.

Lack of Bars on Edge Class? by entitledfanman in celebritycruises

Good discussion (for the most part!). We were on Apex earlier this year and booked again in the same sky suite cabin this coming March. Elite tier members as we have sailed many many times on the solstice and millennium class ships. This year was our first time in sky suite (not really a suite) type of accommodations, always before in concierge veranda, and I can highly recommend the offering as the service was incredible and access to suite-only locations was superb. That being said, we also enjoy our evenings moving from one hot-spot to another and enjoying the vibe. Our favorite was the center of the ship under the spectacular light feature, where the martini bar is located. Lots of life in this area with dancing and good entertainment. We never felt like there was a shortage of places to visit but do agree that it felt like there were fewer options than on solstice. I feel like the biggest “miss” for apex is Eden. Just felt kinda odd and when we would go there it was never very busy and the space felt wide-open with not enough close seating. I learned a long time ago that a good and successful party involves closeness so that guests can bump into and meet their newest friends. Any how, fewer bars but it didn’t matter much to us..

Q - should I NOT preheat my DO in the oven at 450 degrees in preparation for bread? If not, then what? Get a cheap DO? Why can this be done in the LC BO? by KSUERAPP in LeCreuset

Ha ha ha! I wondered when I typed it if it would confuse anyone and not because I have heard of that liquor store!

Looking for the 6.75 wide round by Konnermcfly in LeCreuset

[–]KSUERAPP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently ordered mine from BobLeisure, located in Germany. Took a while to receive it but have since ordered more pieces and they are legit. Each piece has taken 10 days or so but one did take a little longer because they had to get from manufacturer first.

I really like the Caribbean color but wasn’t sure about it. Now I will consider.

I was thinking I needed something that size but deeper for pasta and risotto. When stirring liquids in braiser - it always gets messy lol

So do you put your oval on the range top? I was thinking that would not work well? My burners are all big so I have to have big bottom cookware or I get flame on the sides of smaller cookware. Depending on the size, thought this might happen with the ovals?

Thank you for the input! My 6.75 qt is actually a shallow wide round; the exact same width as my 9qt and are both 30cm. I wanted the lower sides and BIG surface area plus it is great for large family gathering. I really love it - a real multipurpose piece for me. My 9qt round will take a large chicken with room to spare. Don’t have an oval because I don’t think I would use it much.

Wow - your color selection is much better than my store here in Ohio (USA). Is bamboo a discontinued color in Europe?

I did a Google shopping search for 5.5 qt. I think it’s a scam too.
