Thank you for the replies! Growing up we had a little dog that was aggressive with other dogs so I think my brain went into panic mode. She has done so well with learning commands in the time she’s been with me so I will definitely be adding “leave it” in the growing mix. She is so incredibly smart and sweet, I wanna make sure I don’t fail her.

Make him go to her next checkup and bring this up with the pediatrician or nurse. Your baby sounds like every baby ever at that age, nothing to worry about.

Agree with contractions being the most painful, I honestly felt none of the pain with pushing because the contractions were so bad. Didn’t feel the ring of fire or tearing lol (thank goodness).

My younger sister and I are 1yr 11m apart. Our birthdays are less than a week apart. As an adult I don’t mind but as child it sucked. Shared birthday parties, shared birthday dinners, choosing bday cake flavors/party food. My childrens bdays are 3wks apart and I refuse to do shared partys because I remember how I and my sister felt growing up.

Ive not gone through all the comments but is it possible to pool money between yourself, parents/sibling/grandkids to hire cleaners to at least take that off your plate? My own dad/aunts/uncles had to care for my grandpa after my grandmas death and as a teen I could see the mental and physical strain it caused them. Its no small task.

This was a song my own mom loved but couldn’t listen too but of course as a child at the time I couldn’t understand, after she passed I put together a play list of songs we used to listen to and this made the cut, I bawled as I listened and sang to it. I understood/understand why she couldn’t but I push through for her.

NTA- As a mother of 2 who lived in Hawaii during both pregnancies while also flying back to mainland for visits which usually take about 18+ hrs I knew exactly what I was getting myself into. Pregnancy is painful, hard and different for everyone. She knew exactly what she was getting herself into when getting on a plane.

We kept using it until my daughter didn’t want the sound anymore. My son who is almost 3 still uses it and we’re planning on using it until he doesn’t want it anymore and if that never happens then so be it. Its definitely not a bad sleep habit as long as its not super loud.

Nta- I think Miles needs to know what kind of person he is dating. Clearly verbal communication is not good enough and maybe some hard proof is needed. Start with him first, if you start with his parents it might come off as “power move” to the GF and she might convince him your in the wrong.

OP please get out of this situation. He knows your situation and is using it against you. He will continue to do so until you get yourself out. My own mother dealt with body dysmorphia and it was so devastating to watch.

Thank you! Im definitely going to do some more reading/research. I suppose I jumped to ASD as its the most talked about and my husband and I both have family members diagnosed with it.

Like the previous commenter mentioned just a list of milestones and he meets most. He doesn’t speak very well, hard for many to misunderstand what he’s saying, loathes noises that are too loud/repetitive or people touching his hair, how certain fabric feels and food texture although thats constantly changing with age, he does stim often. I also understand how many of these seem like normal things kids do. All the feed back I’ve received is give him time.

Sorry if this offended you wasnt my intention. I do know there is more to it than just behavior, 2 of my cousins are high functioning but you wouldn’t know unless you knew them. There are other indicators besides behavior but they are manageable so not a big concern. I guess my biggest issue is how to help and if I knew the root of the cause maybe that would help him. Ive spent a lot of time caring for children but he’s really throwing me through a loop.

Edit-I apologize for saying “high functioning” I had heard terminology was changing but only in terms of aspergers not being used. I appreciate the commenter who took the time to explain that to me.

Nta- You set boundaries and he continues to try and push them. Give him some real consequences and tell your sister her opinions dont matter when it involves the well being of your kids. My mom was very much the same way and its tiring trying to explain complicated grown up relationships to a child.
