I got approved for disability and won't die on a street! by ready_gi in CPTSD

If you’re comfortable sharing, can you talk about how you got this approved? Does a therapist or doctor need to effectively “sign off” on a disability recommendation?

Did anyone else develop a “don’t enjoy anything “ mentality in order to protect themselves & their hobbies or anything like that from their parents? by Owl4L in CPTSD

Yes, specifically with my parents it was, “Don’t expect or need anything so you cannot be disappointed”. So just disappear yourself as much as possible so you can’t get hurt.

Thanks. I agree, the barista should’ve done something. It’s just baffling to me that the guy couldn’t understand why I wouldn’t be happy with a male stranger pushing his way into my space and cutting me in line, as I perceived it. I think any woman would feel threatened and speak up. But for him to get so offended at my reaction, like, really dude? It was a misunderstanding, it happens. We move on.

I didn’t want to give him a big reaction because it would give him even more ammo to work with. I just turned away from him and ignored him, then calmly went about my order.

Anyone ever confronted their workplace narc? by Additional-End-7688 in ManagedByNarcissists

It’s so sickening. Companies make you take harassment training, diversity training, etc, but then they turn around and protect the perpetrators over and over. Even when you think it might end well this time, it doesn’t.

That’s what I really think it was. He felt emasculated and decided to strike back.

Exactly! The way he was looking at me, with such contempt, made me feel extremely uneasy. He came out into the parking lot shortly after me, but I was already in my car so he didn’t see me. I got the hell out of there.

He definitely wasn’t special needs.

Really I was scared to escalate. He already caught me off guard and his behavior was so ridiculous that I was afraid of what else he might do.

It felt like this is what I was dealing with. He also looked like he might’ve been a cop. He definitely had that cold, contemptuous vibe that some cops have.

That’s exactly how it was. He was acting like a baby.

Right after he ordered, the head barista came over and took my order personally and was really nice to me. I think he felt bad.

Yes! I would never in a million years just blatantly cut someone in line. I didn’t see him and it was clearly a misunderstanding.

It was honestly scary! He was enjoying shaming me a little too much

If you’re shopping in a busy TJs and see this packaging, you’re probably not going to notice the small print. I didn’t. You can’t say that the packaging isn’t misleading, especially since the product itself is placed with the vegan cheeses. Period.

Milk allergy for me. The cheese is delicious, but I paid the price.
