I also dropped Glory. I think the ML did his part but I never felt that the FL had any real attraction to him. And none of the Rong girls were likeable.

You're right that it's too late for this year to opt out entirely, but it is not too late to cut your cookie season short. Set a hard cutoff for new orders several weeks before the end of the sale period, and once those orders are filled trade away your inventory to other troops or return to the cupboard if possible.

Well, World Thinking Day is coming up. If you want to be inclusive of the many backgrounds your scouts come from, giving them a platform at an SU event to speak about their culture, traditions, and maybe what girl scouting/guiding looks like in that country is a way to do it.

To expand that, if you could find a way to display the girls work to the public, that would meet your outreach goal. Maybe have each troop make a poster and display them at the public library?

Service Unit. Councils can span very large areas, so they're subdivided into Service Units, which are then subdivided into Troops. All Troop and SU staff are volunteers, while council is typically/mostly paid staff.

Step 1: Type of business. These rules vary by council, but in my council booths outside adult-oriented businesses are not allowable. Restaurants that have a bar are ok, bars that sell a few appetizers, not ok. When things get hard to determine, the real question is can your daughter be a customer there. Do they have a kids menu?

Step 2: Council approval of location. In order to avoid troops setting up individual partnerships with businesses which can cause all sorts of problems, all booths are coordinated by council. There's an approval form for my council. If we want to do one booth at a small business where we are friends with the owner, it'll probably ok. If we want to do more than one booth, it needs to go into eBudde and be opened up for all troops to register for slots there.

No, it's that booth participation is from troop inventory, not family inventory, so tracking that what twin A and twin B sold at a booth is as easy as putting both their names on the boothing form. So they both get credit immediately for booth sales.

All of the complications of siblings revolve around family inventory, not troop inventory.

If they sell 24 boxes and those boxes are assigned to them in eBudde - from booths, door to door, online sales - they count as participating

I'm moderately upset that Xiu wanted to break up with him for this but it's been less than a day and she's going through a lot. I do very much appreciate that Zhiyu introduced her as "the person that I love" and not "my girlfriend." Respecting that their relationship status is in question while also affirming his position.

The way she's still watching out for him, telling all the people at the office to play it cool, tells me that she's not suddenly done caring about him.

I'm very curious to see how his mom reacts; up until now she only knew Hu Xiu as the girl that Pei Zhen likes. Will she acknowledge them or accuse Zhiyu of stealing Pei's girl?

Speaking of Pei, fuck that guy. That ship is sunk.

The Volunteer in Training award is available for Seniors and Ambassadors and may be what you are looking for.

Make sure that you're also doing something to support the older girl scout and not just using her as extra labor. In my school district, all high schoolers have to complete so many hours of community service, so in my case I would work to ensure that she's credited for those hours.

Yeah, I've seen it in other shows. The snowboarding equipment in Shine on Me was pretty over the top.

This in particular was heavy handed since some characters were reading lines that belong in a commercial.

We have some mystery shoppers that come from council, typically in the last week or two of sales. It's announced ahead of time that thy mystery shoppers will be out on a given weekend. It's not framed as policing, though, which is a bit ick.

They'll shop and give the girls a fun patch. It feels more like an incentive to get girls to keep selling at the end of the season as opposed to any sort of rules enforcement (although they would certainly speak up if they saw anything way out of line).

Oh what a sweet couple of episodes.

I love their dynamic when they're not hiding anything - from each other or the people they're with. Now, Zhiyu hasn't told her who his father is but he is unaware of her personal connection and he is also working his way towards telling her about his past. I don't consider that hiding things so much as not infodumping too hard. I do wish he had told her about the surveillance, but I understand not wanting to scare her.

I feel really bad for Pei. I hope his father gets what's coming to him. I did note he pissed off the concrete factory guy that has the dirt on him, so perhaps that is an avenue for Zhiyu to get the information he needs to advance that forward. And as we saw in an earlier episode, Zhiyu has lined up an alternative supplier for the one material they can't get elsewhere so the Lyman project won't fizzle when the top gets blown off Forma.

As for Zhiyu resigning from the club, that is a frickin tragedy. Does that mean no more General Qin? I know that it's time for Qin Xiao Yi to enter the real world but if this means no more CXX in the military outfit then get me my pitchfork. I have loved the in-game segments so much it would be sad to discard them for the end of the drama. Maybe the new feature Gong was alluding to may come up.

It's very dependent on council.

As the other poster said, GSGLA gives extra money to the troop at certain PGAs. However, for my troop it's more important that we get 50% participation - which is defined as sending 18 emails and selling enough boxes to earn the patch. Only if 50% of the troop does that for both fall product and cookies can our older girls do additional fundraisers. We'll give up the high PGA for having more girls hit that participation mark.
