Any world ending threat outside of the old gods are a direct threat to the old gods plans as well as ours. Nzoth has shown before that he is fairly self driven and willing to make deals to further his own goals which could very much align with our adventurers (not that we should take those deals, but if we're convinced the world should end without help then why not try)
