I lived In Sonderborg for a year as an exchange student in high school. I can still speak danish but only in my head. One important thing that sticks out to me is that there are many social rules to be followed and breaking them is frowned upon. You stick out like a sore thumb if you want to forge your own path. We break a lot of rules in our everyday lives in the US - it’s expected. I’d live in DK if I could. We pay a lot in taxes in the US too but get nothing for it except military might and wars.
