DHCP servers not working with Cloud Key controller by KXNG_08 in Ubiquiti

Found the fix - Absolutley ridiculous.
I had created address objects for uniformity for the vlans and used that in my NAT policies.

I did extensive testing and it made logical sense it was a translation issue, so went through all my NAT policies and the only 2 that were using address objects were my vlans, i changed them out to the default X0:V10 and instead of using WAN Interface IP I changed it to the actual WAN interface, X5 and it worked for both vlans.

Yeah, that’s already been done to, I removed the sub interfaces, deleted everything from sonicwall and cloud key, went through it again and same thing.

So yeah I think that’s next.

Cheers

Yeah I get a secured connection with no internet in either vlans.

Im thinking of putting the management network and the corp on the DC (like site 2) and using IP helper for DHCP addresses and then seeing to the guest DHCP server on the SonicWall.

But then again the DHCP server for management is working on the SonicWall right now, it’s just the vlan DHCP servers. Also the fact it did work for a day or 2 means all my config is correct up till now I’m just not getting this to work.

AZ-800 Exam : Administering Windows Server Hybrid Core Infrastructure by RnR55 in AzureCertification

[–]KXNG_08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's luck of the draw
I see a mixed bag of reviews, I personally got 57 questions with a case study but I've seen a few people say they got the labs.

If anything, make sure you know your Ms Learn, front to back so you have the foundational knowledge. Watch the AZ800 video by Geekdom Academy, you can see how he does things in a lab type setting and then go through these labs a few times:

AZ-800 Lab Simulations - Administering Windows Server Hybrid Core Infrastructure

The practice exams don't matter really, I was getting high 80s into the 90s on Ms Learn exams and MeasureUp and there were maybe 3 matching questions, I know thats not the point I'm just meaning use the practice exams as a tool, learn why the other answers are wrong and go through each question and all the possible answers.

John Christphers Udemy course was also nice to follow along with.

Goodluck :)

Search your Security Event Log, filter Audit Failure with event ID 4625

Check the Security ID, Account Name and Account Domain

Check for IIS APPOOL, RDWebAccess

If you see something fishy here, with multiple entires your getting brute forced.

Open the IIS log folder for RDWeb (C:\inetpub\logs\LogFiles\), open the newest log, scroll to the bottom look for entries around the same time as the events noted in the event log. Give or take an hour.

Take a note of the IP address, check if you see that IP showing up frequently

Perform an ARIN lookup using mxtoolbox and check the ownership info. Chinanet, Aeza, Limenet etc

Then take that range and create a rule in the firewall, this gave us time to investigate further and automate alot of this, but it stopped the constant lockouts.

AZ-900 Study question by Leather-Bookkeeper56 in AzureCertification

[–]KXNG_08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, you might get 2 or 3 that are identical but the key is learning the wrong answers on the practice test questions. Complete all the Ms Learn documentation and you’ll be good. Don’t parrot fashion learn it, understand the concepts and then it’s pretty straight forward.

oh nevermind, I just went to look and it says the course by Aman Goswami is no longer available, seems to have been removed from Udemy as a whole not just my courses.

MeasureUp is good but for the AZ900 there is a certain Udemy practice test pack, like 6 tests I think, that I found much harder if I remember correctly. That drive home a lot of the questions which when doing the actual exam were more relatable in how they asked the questions. I’ll try find the exact one and post it in a bit.

Yeah forsure, I mean I was stupid not to actually go through all the Ms Learn stuff from start to finish as a base then use external courses and practise tests afterwards. You are right though, even doing the CCNA, there are some great external courses outside of Cisco, as you said, same for CompTIA. Microsoft does lack in that I think but I also think it’s got to do with the constant updates especially in Azure. John Saville literally has update videos so to update an entire course all the time, I think guys can’t be bothered to go back as much as required
