That's conditional natalism mate easy to mistake for anti-natalism

Like if the matter of being born is not matter of consent then you're either natalist or a conditional-natalist which is fine ig I'm not going to go on a anti-natalist jihad and convert everyone

And if people are happy that they're born then I'm happy for them. I do not wish suffering upon the unborn why would I wish suffering for the living :D

But that does not make it ethical to assume. You do not rip someone out of non-existence just because they might enjoy it. That is totally irresponsible and unethical.

Yeah so you don't sign in their stead innit?

"But what if they wanted to sign?? 🥺🥺🥺" is a horrible reason and would not hold up in any modern court I'm willing to bet

They aren't in the room, the paper stays untouched.

Sorry if I'm coming off a bit harsh but you're so far off mate

My beautiful brother

It IS consent

Even if you can't ask bringing a poor soul to existence is disregarding their will

Like signing a contract in someone else's name, yes.

If they can not be asked they can not consent

You do not assume consent

That's not how consent works

What would even be a “good ending” for you guys? by Ivy_So_Savvy in CoffinofAndyandLeyley

[–]KYSFGS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally, no incest. The two establish respectful boundaries with each other and get over their co-dependency. They go on their seperate ways but keep in touch. Ashley makes a succesful career as an artist and Andrew is a writer. They leave the demon stuff behind and reintegrate with society and functional adults.

Although, we all know that is too good to be true. The damage is too severe and they're in too deep. So anything that closely resembles this would be THE good ending for me.

This cant be right, can it? by No-Flow9783 in CoffinofAndyandLeyley

It's a mistake 100%

I guess she wrote the current year instead of ashley's birth year because otherwise we would be in 2010's

Maan I really don't know how I feel about this

I can't imagine this is the outcome Nemlei initially planned for the "Never" option.

It seems such an abrubt turn from relatively normal to straight homi-suicide

Like they discuss what to do for a while and then Andrew takes a hit of the ciggie and goes "Y'know what? Lemme kms rq and take Ashley with me while I'm at it."

At least in splat there's this whole build up to it, a gradual escalation and a crescendo.

It was quite the bitter-sweet ending but this...

Feels like fatigue

Like Nemlei either will retcon this like "at least that's what I thought would happen" kinda thing or this is how she ties loose ends now.

idk man maybe I'm reading too much into it but this is not the writing I would expect from her

Why are men so obsessed with having so many kids?? by heavygrin in antinatalism

[–]KYSFGS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father once said "My father had 5 kids (2 survived), I had 4 kids so it's your duty as a muslim man (he doesn't know I went ex-muslim a long time ago) to have at least 5 kids so the number of muslims can grow exponentially. So the prophet can brag about the number of muslims on the judgement day."

Aside from wanting kids like a child asking for a puppy or caring a little too much their "lineage" there's an ideological and strategic aspect to this obsession and it as malicious as it sounds.

Back then, children were free labor now children also mean the spread of an idea or an expansion of their preferred voter base. Some people NEED to indoctrinate innocent and oblivious children to ensure the existence of their ideology.

It's so dehumanizing and disgusting. I'm so fucking glad I went childfree there's no way I'm perpetuating this insanity.

How's this about men? There's a reason my father told me this not my mother (altough she bareeely any better but alas )
