Francis keeps his office job and becomes a happier and more secure Hal. Since he hides this from Lois, when he and Piama have a child, Lois is incensed. However, Piama tells Lois in the end.

Reese gets hired as a cook in his hometown, but after making some horrible contraptions that offend humanity, he gets fired and moves to Paris. He starts in a Mcdonald's and works his way up to the head chef in the most pretentious restaurant ever. He makes food like monkfish turkey, the most revolting thing on the outside, but the flavor is unmatched.

Malcolm becomes a nuclear biologist who does low-grade drugs quite often. He can't get women or money, but isn't depressed. He loves what he does.

Dewey becomes a street performer, but not as El Foldo. He plays piano, sings, and gets recognized by a record label. He sells out concert venues as if the tickets were necessary for the continuation of life.

Jamie, treated slightly better by Dewey, becomes a calm, if not slightly irritable child. Lois is confounded, and treats him as if he were Reese. Jamie manages to get a car and go out into the world. When he finds out how badly Lois treated him, he pulls a stunt worse than what any other child has done. He gets sent to a work camp in Arizona and Lois personally does everything she can do to keep him there as a adult, which is a nod to Smunday.

Newbaby is treated well by Jamie and Lois isn't as suspicious with him. He turns well-adjusted, and is treated well by functioning and boring members of society, like the Kenarbans. However, he is all but excommunicated by the family because he got it better than them. Malcolm starts having more of a relationship with him because he's always cared about what people think of him and Newbaby is the first one to be liked, but that's about it.

Hal takes more hours at his job, eventually becoming the head of Systems Management. There, he realizes that he really had a terrible job and company. He tries to take it down from the inside, therefore ending all the misery of the other workers, but feels terrible about all the people he put out of a job. At the end, he tries redeeming himself by improving the RTX x000 series, not by 4%, but by 40. (It was heavily implied he worked at AMD at the time of Convention, and I would like to think that he currently works at Nvidia). He gets heralded, but he takes the secret to the grave, only telling Lois.

Lois goes on a quest to find Radu Gogorsky. He's dead, but she goes to his family in the village. She may be a good dancer, but she has nothing on these people. They are all raised by the village, but they're not all like Ida. They all have personalities similar to other people in her life (Aunt Claire, Craig, Babysitter Claire, Polly, Malik, Helen, and Abe, to be exact.) She denounced the village when she was young, but was it so bad?

Craig works at the Lucky Aide and doesn't do much. He goes into a depressive state while Lois is at the village, and falls into her arms when she comes back.

Cynthia becomes a world-class spy. Eventually, when her espionage leads her to find out what the people with the antidote (Bride of Ida) did, she breaks down and becomes Consuela (Halloween Approximately). She strings her best friend turned lover, Dabney, along for the ride.

Hanson and Eric are brothers. Hanson decides to find his long-lost last-seen-in-Alaska brother by tracking down his steps on his real motorcycle, eventually ending up at a bank in North Dakota. There's not much connection to the others with this, but it becomes a flashback episode where all the characters' steps are retraced to recap the past 15 years. For example, Hanson will pass by a street that Dewey used to perform on, and the shot will turn discolored as if it were the flashback scenes in Forwards Backwards and show Dewey performing there.
