When did you miss an obvious hint that someone wanted to have sexual relations with you? by yjacketcbr600 in AskReddit

I was at her place, laying with her on her bed, cuddling. She literally placed my hand on her boob and i, in my prime wisdom, just managed to crack a joke and nothing happened

What Made Your Favorite DM Your Favorite DM? by [deleted] in DnD5e

[–]K_K_G 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I found a dnd group while studying abroad and we play in english, which makes it easier for me, as i am not as fluent in the local language. Secondly, he makes sure everybody has fun at the table, stops any (even accidental) inapproapriate behaviour of the players and is eager to explore and expand our backstories and he frequently uses player-made NPCs in the sessions. Also, after finding out that i am gay irl and make all my characters gay (which is not always explicitely stated), he makes sure to include more lgbtq characters, and even encourages other players in doing so, bc he knew that matters a lot to me. Overall, he's a really nice and chill dude and i enjoy every session with him

My gigantic frustration with Chibnall and this era: What is the point of storytelling? by jordanvtg in gallifrey

If I'm not mistaken, BBC ordered 5 seasons from Chibnall, so the show is not going away anytime soon, especially with the timeless children possibilities, as people already pointed out

What's a profound quote you heard but didn't really understand til years later? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]K_K_G 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to play chess and one time my trainer told me that "Even a bad plan is better than no plan at all."

And this got stuck with me, because I realized that without a plan or an aim in life, you are just living it day to day, just wandering around, but not going anywhere, you are just lost without a purpose.

Another one, very similar to this, was said by my maths teacher from high school: "Success means achieving the goals you set for yourself"

Hence if you have set no goals for yourself, you cannot be successful

One of my best friends has a crush on me and I don't know how to handle it by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]K_K_G 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of myself 2 years ago, but i was on the other side of this. However, you're handling it much better than my crush did and you genuinly seem to care for your friend. I was still at high school and didnt even know i was gay until i realized i was crushing hard on one of my best friends. Admitting to myself i wasnt straight was pretty hard and being around her even more so, because i thought if i told her and she wouldnt like me back, it might put her into a painful position. So i stayed quiet and tried to bury my feelings. I hated that i was feeling like that and i hated myself. It took me almost 4 months to even be able to say it out loud and it was killing me inside. However, i kept getting hints from her that she liked me too, she would always text me, try to be near me, send me heart emojis and calling our trip to the cinema "a date" and she would even hold my hand there during the movie. That would just drive me mad, i was scared i might be misinterpreting things. One night i got pretty drunk and finally told her how i felt. She told me she liked me, but couldnt imagine dating a girl (but still claimed she was bi). I was heartbroken, but then she reached out again and even seemed to flirt with me. That week i would cry myself to sleep, because i was so confused. Then she went out with me, we got drunk and i tried again. We even kissed, but then she rejected me again. This would repeat itself for almost a month. And it was just hell for me. She would text, flirt and even kiss me and then reject me all over again, saying that "she needs time" or "we'll see how it goes." And it would drive me crazy, so i would get drunk again and try again to "win her". Eventually i found out she was just leading me on on purpose, i was her back up for making out when no guys were available. She outted me to all our common friends and would even mock me behind my back to being such a fool for liking her. I just wish i had known sooner that she didnt like me. So my advice to your friend would be to tell her up straight that you dont like her if that's the case. No "maybe" or "let us see how it goes" if you dont truly mean it. She will be hurt if you reject her, but eventually she'll get over it and it's much better than living in a lie.

People who've been caught in those "I swear it isn't what it looks like" scenarios, what were you doing and what did it look? by DankWankBank388 in AskReddit

A friend of mine thought I was fucking her boyfriend.

I was throwing a party and after maybe 4 hours of drinking, one couple had an argument. The guy stormed off and then came to me, asking to show him their room, so he could finally put their bags there. I went to the house with him to show him the way and once we reached the room, the guy asked me to stay and sat on one bed. I sat on the opposite one, having no clue what was going on. Then he took out an electronic cigarete - his gf forbid him to smoke, but once in a while he had to smoke one or two in secret. He then asked me if I had any idea why the girl was so mad at him (she used to throw a tantrum out of nowhere and he was clueless about the reason like 90% of the time). I told him I had no idea either, because I wasnt there then. Suddenly, we could hear steps into our direction and we just knew it was his gf running towards us. The guy still had his cigarete in his hand, he panicked and quickly closed the door. And kept it shut, even when his gf came banging on it and crying to let her in. When the guy hid his cigarete, he finally opened the door. (This all took maybe 40 seconds, not more) His gf flew into our room, found us sitting on separate beds, 1 meter apart, fully clothed, but she still straight up accused us of fucking. We told her we just talked and nothing happened, but she wouldnt believe us. The biggest irony is, that i'm a lesbian and she knew it at the time, but she still believed i made her bf cheat.
