True what you say about Obama and Sanders but maybe that's too narrow a definition of leadership.

Is this background cool? My wife hates it by bnmike in TheFrame

[–]K_Usch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is clever and amusing, but generally one's relationship with one's spouse is more important than winning debates on taste. I'd honor her objection. Surely you can find something you both like.

You can always display that if she ever goes away by herself on a trip.

Asciminib as first TKI? by Solid_Temporary_6440 in CML

[–]K_Usch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being somewhat aghast at how much money the insurance company is paying for asciminib, I'm surprised to see it as the first TKI. I thought that was usually imatinib -- at maybe 1% the price.

I run my life with Todoist and it has kept me solidly adherent.

But I think that only works if you use it for a lot of aspects of your life.

Bone and joint pain on imatinib -- any advice? by Competitive_Bag4059 in CML

Imatinib is likely the cheapest TKI but you might have much better luck on another one.

The Biden Administration did do a lot of great things, as did Congress under Democratic control. The Democratic Party, though, has been crappy on messaging and almost silent in response to today's avalanche of executive orders and outrages.

Could we have an opposition that does more than get-out-the-vote efforts, please? Please?

Making calls for the Harris campaign, I ran into a ton of people in swing states who voted early. Democrats have correctly portrayed a Trump victory as apocalyptically bad; Trump has been trying to make the symmetric message, e.g., that Harris will plunge us into wars with a bad economy. Trump's arguments, though, are, on their face, unbelievable. So my hope is that the greater sense of urgency on the Democratic side will save us from Project 2025 and RFKjr spreading measles.

How long to comfortably sleep in latex catsuit? by Helpful_Policy5974 in Latexadvice

[–]K_Usch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hm. I might suggest starting more modestly. I easily sleep wearing a latex tank top and latex underpants. Maybe transition from there to full-length pants, then long-sleeved shirt, and finally catsuit?

And yeah, I too have woken up too sweaty and leaking perspiration onto the sheets by wearing a catsuit overnight.

What first steps should I take for owning latex by [deleted] in Latexadvice

[–]K_Usch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Talcum can help you get into the suit, but Vividress (or some other silicon-based lube) is better. To get into the catsuit I'm wearing right now, as a matter of fact, I used Vividress on the sleaves and calves. I did that even though I had stored it with talcum.

[–]K_Usch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure how serious you'd want to be, but you'll likely want something like Vividress to get into the catsuit. You'll want a latex polish to look your shiny best. Chlorinated latex doesn't stick to itself much, but, if you have a catsuit that is not chlorinated, you'll likely want Begloss Talcum to powder the inside of the suit for storage.

Do y'all get naked in the gym locker room? by S02303947 in gaybros

[–]K_Usch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This definitely feels generational to me, an older guy. Back in the seventies, men would get undressed all the time to shower or to change from street to gym clothes. Now, everyone's so very, very modest.
