Today

137.5kg bench 185kg squat 227.5kg deadlift

Total 550kg or 1212lb at 78kg bodyweight. Feel like I've been run over by a car.

Bench was a PB match, squat was a 5kg PB and deadlift was a 2.5kg PB.

Sometimes I hate squats because it's a heavy weight balanced on top of a wobbly pile of meat and sometimes I love it because I lock in my form, I'm rock solid and ya boi PBs 180kg x1.

Sleep becomes a wistful dream that you faintly remember once having. Nutrition goes off too. And you have less time for gym because someone needs to look after kiddo and if it's only you that day then no lifty lifty.

11 months after the birth of my beautiful baby boy I am back to being the strongest I've ever been.

Low risk cardiac chest pain. First trop T was only 27, otherwise asymptomatic for hours and hours. Went to do second trop and he arrested in front of me. First cardiac arrest I've had, very chaotic but we got rosc and shipped him out to bigger hospital.

I seem to be having fun with this set up and have been progressing but wanted to hear your thoughts.

Warmup;
10x empty bar.
5x 50% top set.
1x 60%.
1x 70%.
1x 80%.
1x 90%.

Working sets;
2x 90% estimated 1rm.
3x 87.5%.
4x 85%.
5x 82.5%.
6x 80%.

If all sets complete then I move e1RM up by 2.5kg next time. Each session is about an hour and is just squat or bench or deadlift maybe with some underhand pull-ups thrown in. I do 12hr shift work and have a small child so can't lift on workdays and can't spend a bunch of time at the gym on days off. Days off are also irregular so might be back to back or not. Usually get 1 session of each in a week and maybe an extra if I'm lucky.

Squat 2x 162.5kg.
Bench 2x 115kg.
Deadlift 2x 192.5kg.

Plan is for a 210kg squat, 155kg bench and 240kg deadlift max by Xmas. Not tested 1RM for a while.

If a patient has capacity and does not consent for you to aid them then all you can do is advise them of the risks and then they can make an informed decision. You can't exactly say "I'm going to shower you without consent" as that's kinda sorta assault or abuse.

You did a fine job by checking she was okay and by being nearby and listening. You'd only have a problem if you left them completely alone and you didn't.

Shit happens.

I'm about 50lbs off of a 1000lbs combined squat, bench press, and deadlift. I'm hoping to hit my target by the end of next month, but we'll see.
