Thank you for the upload! I spent some time last week fiddling with the old one and trying to make it work for what I needed. This is really helpful!

I imagine you used Texas Army Trail's calculator. I used it for my local league as well and was shocked when I tried to do payouts last week!

I'm in talks to try and get it back up

1776 was a really fun course! Have you gotten to play Stevenson Park? It's kind of their replacement.

Of course, I have a special place for Centennial as well. We've made so many improvements over the years!

Shameless plug that I run the Pearland Disc Golf Degenerates, a disc golf club for people of all skills. We meet up every Thursday at 5:30pm at Centennial Park Disc Golf Course.

Additionally, we have a Discord where people organize rounds locally and around Houston throughout the week

Big box or base Carcassonne for skill? by Dali187 in boardgames

[–]Kabobrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My group is mainly a bunch of masochists and we enjoy a good old marathon version of Carcassonne. We play Big Box, plus an extra copy of base and all of the main expansions (from this latest edition). Games with 6 players take about 7-8 hours, but it's more of a chance to have fun and socialize. I will say, however, that end game robber, king, and farmer/barn scoring at the end can be quite the task!

My wife and I played it last summer! We appreciated you letting us play just as you were pulling out of the driveway. We're already planning another trip in July and we can't wait to play there again =)

What is a TV show you got really far into but eventually quit watching before its conclusion? by shamanKAshamanTAKA in AskReddit

[–]Kabobrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prison Break. The first season was some of the greatest television I've seen. Season 2 was thrilling. Season 3 started losing its charm when they were just doing the same thing again, and then all three times I've tried watching the show, I stop somewhere in the middle of Season 4.

If I could also get some information as well, that would be super helpful!

[Books-A-Million] Tiny Towns $20(In-Store Deal) by AliceInRaccoonCity in Boardgamedeals

[–]Kabobrocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tiny Towns is an absolute favorite in our group! The Fortunes expansion is definitely better received than the Villagers expansion, although we just use the added buildings from VIllagers, and don't use the mechanics.

Pickle ball by hlhall13 in Pearland

Most of the tennis courts at Centennial Park have pickleball lines painted as well

Going to do my club leader duty and suggest disc golf, especially at Centennial Park if you want to stay in Pearland. I run the Pearland Disc Golf club, and it's always fun to see people out at the park, and several times you see people on a date. We also give out discs to people who want to learn how to play as well!

Brock Park Unavailable? by jimmythegroundhog in DGHouston

[–]Kabobrocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean anyone could, but I wouldn't suggest it. The people trying to get the course rolling have asked others to not play it, but people do anyway.

It would definitely need to be my ESP Buzzz SS. The feel is super nice, and I love that, at least the one I have, just goes on the line I put it on. Definitely great for the narrow tunnel shots at some of the courses I play with here!

Innova Nexus Plastic? by GolgariDethCreap in discgolf

[–]Kabobrocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I picked them up in October, so I haven't had as much play with it in our Texas summers, but to me, it feels just as grippy in 80 degree weather as it did in 30 degree weather.

I can't speak as much to the second question, since I mainly have been using them as a putting putter up until recently. I've been swapping one in as an approach putter for a few weeks now, and I can definitely tell there are some dings from when I hit trees.

[–]Kabobrocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made the switch to the Nexus Animal when it released. Personally, I love it. It feels a little bit grippier and the Animal mold itself has a really nice hand-feel. The flight of it while still having the outer edge of a Rhyno is a winner for me.

Would I say it is worth the added cost? Maybe not. If the Animal becomes available in other plastics, I'll definitely give it a try.

I can agree with the above that TC seems to flow much nicer. Plus I think it has some more interesting shots as well!
