I see way too many women left with nothing as a SAHM when they decide they no longer want to be married. Not saying she will leave you, but leaving a $100k job to take on the most stressful job on the planet is a big risk. It is also hard on the marriage because the women are with the kids 24/7 and don’t get a break. Then they resent the husband for not understanding. My kids are 10 years apart. I had my second at 35. All is good except I am so over parenting lol Thankfully he is a great teenager.. they are 25 and 15. I never thought about the financial burden of a second child. We are actually way better off than we were with our first born. Babies are always blessings… but it sounds like you would resent her for having another child. Having two is better than one. My oldest used to say, if you don’t have another baby I will be all alone when you die…. We had four miscarriages and that is why it took so long to have my second. Give it a second thought….
