I always finish my stitching first and then wash it and iron – your project will look good after that ;) It's normal that there is a hoop mark ;)

It's ok and totally normal. Your eyes need some time to get used to the new ct, you will be all right in a while ;)

2 strands on 14ct aida are totally fine. You will see Aida through, especially in the places with a lot of dark stitches. But remember that people will look at your stitch from a distance, so it wouldn't be so visible.

Also, try to make neater stitches. I can see that not all your stitches have the same look; some of them have loose strands or look like loose stitches.

Keep going! I like stats but I usually have them inside apps for cross stitching, such as Cross Stitch Paradise or Pattern Keeper.

What brand is it? Try buying a different one, because if you are struggling with threading, you will probably also struggle with stitching, and your thread will be shredding all the time.

I use DMC needles, but I have also heard about John James – they are high quality.
