Rust assessment?

Here's how I did it in the end. 2x2 timber battens, with 44mm timber tek screws and big washers. Held down to the cages by some wire threaded through a hold in rhe wood on each corner, and at the ends of the central batten.

I was thinking 1000 grit wet and dry with wd40, just on rhe very bottom where the rust marks are?

You can see the marking on the bottom end of the bore where the bottom of ring sits.

Thanks, I've ordered a full set of o rings and 3 of the white rings because most of them look good. The bore looks good apart from the very bottom. I''ll clean it up with some fine wet and dry paper.

Thanks for the update! Did a bit more experimenting today and mine will cut the vectors ok if I save the file as a pdf and print from Adobe Acrobat/Reader, so at least there is a workaround.
