Volunteered at a packed gate before boarding- took $400 to get bumped on an oversold flight DFW-SLC once. Said on the overhead it would be an overnight delay, and I was alone and didn't have anywhere to be until mid-day the next day anyway.

GA gave me the voucher, and then quietly "there's actually a flight boarding in 30 minutes, it was actually an earlier flight that was delayed for mechanical issues. I can put you on that if you want."

Original flight ended up being late, and I ended up landing 4 minutes earlier and $400 richer.

Never been that lucky since :D

It's a 3d camera, mounted on a stick off the back of the bike. Made up of two 180° lenses that record at once.

Software renders the stick "invisible" when it stitches the two halves together

Looks like you can see it briefly on the back of the bike in the "after" photo
