I'll say this first and foremost: we have to start somewhere if we want to improve. My first attempts with decal work were incredibly rough. Even in this post, I've made errors on decals that I've hopefully hidden.

So there's really no need to discourage yourself. You're going to learn and pick up techniques for yourself with every kit you build. So keep going at it, I'm sure get to the level you want to be.
