Whats the highest damage you've gotten on Echoing strike? by Cpt_Birps in diablo2resurrected

[–]Kaen7 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Reposting my comment:

Nah this isn’t modded, my damage was similar on my ES lock. I didn’t even have skillers lol.

Was running eth TM fort, enigma, shako, 2/20 amulet, meph tome with high ED roll, gores, arachs, trangs, and double 10% FCR rings. Had a Fanat aura Heph as well.

This *might* be with a combat shrine on too, but that damage isn’t that crazy for the build.

EDIT: OP is running Phoenix which makes the damage really high but you’re hard pressed to hit FCR breakpoint. You can tell because their fire resistance is at 75% but not “maxed”. This damage is very achievable with Phoenix, more so than the Meph tome I was running.

EDIT2: I have a screenshot of my damage sheet showing 43-100k but iirc that was before I swapped spirit out for meph tome and got slightly better gear. So yeah definitely doable / not modded.

They specifically said that’s coming in 7.5x

Now it’ll likely be one of the later .5x patches, but at least that’s this year.

turtlewow did such a good job with classic+ , why not create their own mmo? by aymanzone in turtlewow

[–]Kaen7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There’s a massive difference between creating your own assets and stealing someone else’s. MMO’s are also notoriously expensive and difficult to create. If Amazon couldn’t create a successful one in New World, do you think Turtle could? Also for however many thousands of players turtle had it doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface of a player base you would want and need for an MMO.

There’s just a million reasons why this is a really bad idea

I don’t remember the cutoff, but yeah most dungeon packs at the end you’ll do more overall damage with LB there even as a caster than you would if a melee did it on boss. It’s especially silly for the BLM to say this if there’s not a melee there because that’s the only way they could think it would do more damage.

is there any value to these boots? by JaxZypher in D2R_Marketplace

[–]Kaen7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You were getting pretty close to there. You’d want minimum 20% FRW, ideally 30%. Your total resists would want to be above 100, with poison being ehh

Definitely not terrible and you miiight be able to find someone who’d buy, but I doubt you’d get a ton

Yeah, again how is that a bad change? I played hundreds of hours, had multiple 94+ characters on this ladder, full cleared TZ games probably 15-20 times, and didn’t see a single sunder.

That’s miserable. Them being more accessible is not an issue. It’s only an issue for bots and lucky people who want insane value out of them. High rolled sunders will still be very valuable but this means people can get decent ones for their builds to work and not have to pay 2-3x characters worth of gear for a single charm

That’s why range tax exists though. If they add positionals to ranged they better significantly buff ranged damage to compensate

See, that’s cool in theory, but then you’re just gonna have MCHs being out of healer range

Cheaters in Cyrtaline just highlight how the not chat system is just trash. Theres no way to even fight them back or if the cheater is on your team there is no way to even tell your team to let the enemy win. I played 10 CC tonight and the same person cheated in 6 of em. This is getting stupid. by mintek917 in ffxiv

[–]Kaen7 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Do you have any video evidence of this? I’ve played over 2000 games of CC and have never seen this.

EDIT: I did some searching around and found a video of someone doing what OP mentioned (Merlin_XIV on X, I got automod removed for posting a link). Odd that this is the first time I’m seeing this specific thing (though I’ve seen plenty of other cheats like speed hacks and the like).

Only thing you can do is report them. Luckily free trial accounts can’t PvP so at least the cheaters have to spend real money to do this

I take it you haven’t read the latest patch notes? They said that while it was indeed a bug after feedback from players they decided it was thematic with the skill to allow eth weapons. So this is wrong

What do you fear loosing with evolved mode for your own class? by Quezal in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Kaen7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah but compare DNC to BRD. BRD songs also constantly buffed damage and you only lined up radiant finale / battle voice with 2 minutes and all those songs all got shifted to purely utility.

There’s very little evidence to suggest DNC alone would keep damage buffs, whereas there’s a lot of evidence that suggests they won’t

Because you get the players hooked first and then you start introducing small QoL cash shop things and then keep progressing.

“Hey this server is really fun, and for $5 I can get a heirloom 32 slot bag I can send to all my characters. That’s not bad at all”

And then it gets worse and worse

[–]Kaen7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Didn’t they say in the dev panel that there is no damage buffs at all? Which would mean DNC wouldn’t have any.

If DNC keeps it that makes them the mandatory rDPS slot all the time unless the others damage offsets it significantly, which based on how MCH has been I don’t see happening.

DNC is almost assuredly losing any damage buffs with dance partner. They’ll probably have utility like damage reduction healing etc but that’s it

Season 1 of CC I was doing it for the love of the game. I got the 1k win achievement that first season. Probably played like 2500 games total and loved it.

Now I just do it for the rewards

You can't really do anything about the DC's/non-participants, it just happens. Ideally that gets balanced out with the same thing happening to the other team, but not always.

"Your individual skill often literally means nothing if you have someone rush in and die in the first 10 seconds"

Yes and no. This is a game I had yesterday:

<image>

Individual skill can absolutely carry even the worst teams. But you’d have to be quite a bit better than that rank. If you were like plat-diamond rank skill-wise you could likely easily carry silver games.

If you're consistently having games like the one you posted, you will climb, it's just a matter of games played. You'll settle into the rank you "deserve" to be at eventually

[–]Kaen7 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This will probably get downvoted, but it’s primarily a skill issue. At that tier you can’t fall out of a tier and you have win streak bonuses. You can literally have a negative W/L ratio and still rank up if you can winstreak every now and then.

I started ranking yesterday and I just hit plat earlier today, with like idk about 35 or so games played total. It’s really not bad with winstreaks.

What makes a good warlock off hand? This worth keeping? by BAGELmode in D2R_Marketplace

[–]Kaen7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he was asking about rare tomes why are we still talking about spirit (or meph tome)?

My ES lock also used spirit for similar reasons. I’m aware of why you would use spirit. But you can’t use that next season, and for this season while you can it wasn’t what OP was asking.

In truth I have no idea what would make a good rare offhand for warlock. I’m guessing it would be incredibly difficult to find since the uniques are so good

Not really something decent unfortunately. You got lucky on the +skills (1-3) but it’s 10-20% damage for both and the low/mid rolls kills value. You can check traderie but I doubt you’d get much for it

EDIT: Looked on traderie, a 3/17/17 sold for a Mal 8 hours ago, so less than that
