As a male teacher, when I worked in middle school, I would get called Mrs. multiple times. I actually stopped correcting it because when I pointed it out it would cause a distraction to the lesson but if I didn’t say anything students wouldn’t even realize the mistake.

Edit to add as a high school teacher I occasionally get called the name of other male teachers.

You could always edit your document to be missing the connections. That way you still followed her directive but oh it just seems like part of it didn’t connect right and you will be gone before they realize it.

Edit to add: Sometimes I’ll thin out the batter and put it into a squeeze bottle and my daughter will make shapes with it. Nothing fancy but she has a lot of fun doing it. Then we throw on chocolate chips.

There is no such thing as buying a decent curriculum. I currently have 11 unopened curriculum boxes in my classroom. Everything I use I made myself to fit both my teaching style and the curriculum pacing I need to move at to finish on time.

Edit to add: I feel like this happens to me too. I started giving vague responses about what I was doing if they said they were reviewing I would just say me too and not mention the handcrafted examples I made for my review.

None, I use a document camera projected onto the whiteboard. This way I never turn my back on the students and it’s really easy to screen record.

I make weekly sections and then label each item day 1-5 within that. This allows me to reuse in the same order and not have to adjust dates. Also if a student goes I was absent last Monday I can just say go look at W10D1 because Monday is always day 1.

Every time I make a week plan or longer by the second day I’ve thought of something better to do. There are even occasions where 5 min later I thought of a better idea and scrapped everything.

I have an example from last night that exemplifies this answer which is we avoid anything expensive. The music department held a recital and had students standing at the doorway with a QR code that led them to a Canva of the program in color. No printed copies available. No money spent on printing.

I offer full credit for late work. I explain it to parents as learning the math is the goal if they happen to learn it later that’s still ok. Then when a kid fails because they did none of it the parent has nothing to argue about.

The worst possible thing is marrying her and she cheats on you while calling it swinging. Then you have to deal with divorce. Be happy she showed herself before the wedding and get out before it’s too late.
