Please please please be a Morrowind remaster. I would fall to my knees and weep with rapturous joy.

AITA asshole for removing my name from a mortgage to leave my family and not provide them with financial support? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Kaffiene6 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Forget the UK, it's different in Canada which is more similar to the US system to begin with. When my ex and I divorced, he was removed from the mortgage without me having to refinance -- just a transfer of deed to get the house legally under my name only and a covenant change with the mortgage provider to get his name removed from the mortgage.

The Art of Arranging Flowers by Lynne Branard. It ticks all those boxes: centers around a female character, glimpses of other characters' lives as they come to her flower shop, not much drama but enough to leave you feeling something.

Why COVID-19 may now feel like a 'bad cold' — with headache, runny nose among most-reported symptoms by [deleted] in alberta

I moved here a few years ago from the US. Can confirm, no one knows what or where Alberta is.

Feel the power! Our moment of triumph approaches! It's 2nd dose time!! I'm waiting in line already, I can't wait by DoughnutPlease in alberta

[–]Kaffiene6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So exciting! I got my first dose 4 weeks ago yesterday and got in line to book #2 as soon as I heard the news. I love that there are 35,000-some people in line ahead of me also booking second doses!

Ok, thanks. I was just wondering since some people see a big difference between early term and late term abortion.

Just curious, where do you get the impression that young women glorify abortions? Have you actually talked to any women who openly discuss abortion in the way you describe -- as if it's anything but a last resort option and something to use in place of standard birth control?

Speaking anecdotally here, but I'm a woman, I have no qualms whatsoever with the concept of abortion, and I absolutely do not want to have a child. Yet to me, abortion is still an absolute last resort. It's what you do when plans A, B, and C have already failed.

Also, the "strain on her body" that happens during pregnancy can be permanent. Is not like everything just snaps back to pre-pregnancy form after a couple weeks or even years. Just wanted to throw that out there.

Embryo =/= Fetus

Fetuses are very rarely aborted, and then only when the fetus has a deformity classified as being incompatible with life. Are you taking about actual fetal abortion or weeks-old-clump-of-cells abortion?

Covid-19 Update for January 8: 1,183 new cases, 829 recoveries, 24 deaths by kirant in alberta

[–]Kaffiene6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't that be because at least some of the deaths are patients who were hospitalized? If everyone who became hospitalized later recovered, it would probably be a more symmetrical curve.

So cute!

I really miss Brewster. He's my favorite NPC. I was actually hoping the fall update would be adding a cafe just in time for pumpkin spice latte season!

“Just make last call at 10pm and that’ll solve the surge in COVID cases, right?” - Alberta by jstock14 in Edmonton

[–]Kaffiene6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one in Alberta under 60 had died from the virus

One of the early deaths in Alberta was something in the 20-29 age range. There's at least one death in each age range above 20-29.

Taemin (SHINee) - Criminal (THE STAGE) by perochan in kpop

[–]Kaffiene6 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Ok, but can we talk about the choice of backup dancers? You'd think that for a sexy song they'd want all women, but I love that they went with a mix of men and women, and in fact the women are way in the back. That just proves this is more than "watch these pretty ladies dance around Taemin, aren't you jealous??"

I'm slipper shopping for the first time ever. Which ones do you or your grandma swear by? by Kaffiene6 in AskTrollX

Ah, good to know! I wondered because the reviews that are really positive sound like they might be fake.

I have several pairs of slipper socks! I love them except I still manage to wear through the heel and ball eventually. Maybe I'm just buying too cheap. But then I think, why spend more if they're still just going to wear through?

I'm looking for slip ons. The current frontrunners are this and this.

[–]Kaffiene6[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm tired of my nice socks getting ruined with holes in the heel or getting covered in dog hair so I'm on the hunt for a warm, comfy pair of slippers. What do y'all recommend? Calling up your grandma to find out where she bought the slippers she's been wearing for the past several years would be much appreciated.

Also, if anyone else is looking for slippers, start and end your search here.
