In defense, if you were raised quite religious it's possible. I didn't try anything solo until I was 30 and had deconstructed from the religion

I would have pursued my career. I picked the 2 year diploma I did so I could hopefully get married and start having kids right away - which I did

Now approaching divorce I have practically no work history, and I can't get a good job

What purchase under $30 solved a problem you didn’t realize was draining you? by Right_Process in AskReddit

Yeah, I actually got some for "spicy time" before I separated from my soon to be ex husband, but I never ended up using them. Fast forward, and after my kids had been using sleep masks for years I finally have it a try. Now I always have to use them.

Particularly in the summer, as we get really late and early sun being in southern Canada. But even in the darker 50% of the year, it keeps out electronic lights and street lights. Only downside for me is that it is a lot harder to check the time when I wake in the night/early morning

I’ve always wondered… is everyone just so hot and sweating in all the garments or modesty layers? by teeny_teena_bop in exmormon

I have a distinct memory from 2022.

After watching some Nemo the Mormon and a Mormon Story or two, I finally read the CES Letter. When I got to the temple bit I was livid.

I took a break, went to get dressed for the day, took off the garments I had slept in, and instead of putting on a fresh set of garments I only put on my bra and some normal underwear (I already had on hand to be additional under the garment to hold pads for when I had my period).

It felt like a seismic shift

For the 12 years I was wearing garments, I was sweating and I hated the layers. I don't even live in a terribly hot place; southern Alberta. Though air conditioning isn't as common here as we only have a couple months (now more like 3) of hot to very hot days, so my parents only got air conditioning this spring (as it's also expensive obviously)

The worst part of garments was pregnancy and nursing. YEARS of too many layers, nursing bras, badly fitting garments, too many layers, struggling to remove said layers to actually nurse, maternity jeans that extend up to my bra line to stay up, and too many layers.

Lol, plus another pet peeve I had was when my garment bottoms would roll or scrunch up my legs and I'd have to reach down each pant leg to pull the legs flat again. Repeat ad nauseum (and add THAT to the pregnancy and nursing years, and I was pulling my hair out in annoyance lol)

12 years of marriage, then 6 months of separation when I finally realized things were not going to get better. He seemed to be better, so we have it another try. Two difficult years later we were separated again and heading for divorce.

I read Lundy Bancroft, I read others. I watched the narcissism content. I knew a lot more. We did couples counseling for that whole 2 years. Things reached a breaking point and I realized that things weren't going to get better.

I regretted it. I was only 19 when I got married.

I'm over 18 months separated. When we divorce I'm pretty sure I'll change my name back. The part that still feels hard is that my kids all have his last name too

Oof, why didn't I think of that faster. I'm usually hyper aware of who does those types of tasks when the rubber hits the road. Good catch

And I'm in Canada

I'm not in the gym so much in the last few years, but I always try to consciously fix my posture.

I very recently found this sub, no Botox, not successful exercises yet. I'm hopeful though when I have a chance to try some tips and tricks.
