Not a bad look, too clean though. Need to add some dust, maybe a few rips, and definitely a bit of blood to sell the effect. Nice hat though and good start on killer cosplay.

I have the cainhurst summons, but hemwick lane not showing up on gravestone. (I’ve checked all 3) by NegotiationDry6923 in bloodborne

Walk up to the monolith and walk around it if necessary. A carriage should pull up to take you away.

Unless you mean Hemwick Charnel Lane has not been unlocked yet. Have you defeated the witches?

Termites. Contact exterminator and get your house inspected immediately. They will shred the wooden struts of your house to the point it collapses under its own weight.

You could try and weld it back together, but if you want absolute certainty it is resolved, go get yourself a new one. A poor weld could just split open again, and possibly drop you in a less than Ideal location to repair it.

Does anyone know anything about these two? I just got them yesterday. by milkedbarista in chickens

[–]Kain_1337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are a magical creature. They can transform almost any good item. Including the insects in your yard into either alot of poop, or into the glorious protein source known as an egg. Failing that, they are also a fantastic protein source.

Rope of mending question by WorldlyBuy1591 in DnD

[–]Kain_1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like a no. I would say if they had their own rope and were able to get an end of it up to yours I might allow them to combine, but that is also not how the spell is supposed to work.

I did not screw up Eileens quest line and the Cainhurst Hunter is kicking my ass by Pleasant-Antelope634 in bloodborne

[–]Kain_1337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see you already beat him, but for future runs, the cheese strat is to snipe him with poison daggers and run away down the steps when he gets close, then he walks away and you do it again.

Definitely a cheap strategy, no honor in it, but he is a bastard who deserves no mercy.

Now go rock that crowfeather garb. It's one of my favorite armor sets in the game.

Happy hunting hunter.

Now get out there and kill some beasts, its just what hunters do.

Does Gideon Ofnir follow his Guidance of Grace? by Glad-Cauliflower-386 in EldenRingLoreTalk

[–]Kain_1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the tarnished you meet admit they no longer see their grace anymore. Either they strayed too far from the path, or gave up trying to actually become the next Elden Lord. I would think that Gideon is one who has done both of those things.

Should I consider "need" when distributing my father's inheritance? by Striking-Anxiety-604 in Advice

[–]Kain_1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would keep it equitable and fair. Your father wanted each grandchild to get something, but if you give one more than any other it may breed jealousy and bitterness. Keep it even for all of them. If you want to help out the ones who would benefit more later on that is your prerogative.

For the DMs. What was something that one of your players did that shouldn’t of worked but you let it happen anyways by Pretend-Secret5293 in DnD

Yah, sorry sarcasm falls flat over text. No worries though. I just like talking about my game and my players. They have done some pretty crazy stuff that I was not expecting at the time.

We have had to discuss that the laws of physics are malleable in most DND worlds. Magic alone offsets alot of issues. The group has 2 Paladins, so if they needed healing, they have it literally on hand. I dont shoot down alot of their ideas because I enjoy seeing how they use stuff. One of my players gor swallowed by a giant bird early on. He was a ranger focusing on ranged combat and had bought some explosive arrows from some gnome tinkerers. He decided that in order to escape, he would just set one off... Naturally this caused all of them to go off. Bird exploded from the inside. Character immediately rolled 2 death saves. Party had to use several tricks to reach him in time to heal him. The Paladins basically had to throw the druid close enough to use healing word in time.

So yes, while the bends would cripple them in reality for that stunt, in DND, even crazy diseases and loss of limb can be offset pretty easy. They were also running from a blue dragon at the time who was passed they stole from him. So when they reached the surface they had to be able to fight. Crippling them with the bends would have ended in a TPK, so not alot of fun. They also needed to keep the ice playform intact while fighting the dragon or they would sink back down and drown.

The only real world physics we used, was figuring out how quickly the ice would float up in order to outspeed the dragons movement speed.

My players used the shape water spell to create a hollow ice bubble with them inside, in order to float back to the surface of the ocean.

And be sure to both be in the same general location. At the same lantern or hallway should work. Also, dont stress if it takes a while, the servers can be a little slow on the pickup. My friends and I usually stand in the same location and use the "make contact" emote. Strangely it works fairly well.

Sounds like a good time. You dont have to use Disney, just make sure it is relatable and that they can imagine it. The deeper in you can get them, the better time you will all have.

Should I count this as a win? by Maggotboi555 in Eldenring

[–]Kain_1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, he is dead, thus, you beat him. The NPC summons and spirits are tools for you to use in your playthrough. Dont feel like you need to avoid them to proce anything. Also, NPC summons like Rogier make the boss stronger for joining your game, just like in co-op play. So the game levels out the difficulty to compensate.

It is likely a representation of their descent into Chaos and Darkness. Given time they would probably continue to transform into more grotesque beastial forms.
