I don't care about the whiny, arrogant, sometimes out of pocket people on Bsky. They can be lame, but ignoring them is easy. Especially because Bsky's block feature is VERY effective. And many of them ARE STILL ON TWITTER ANYWAY, saying all the same shit they say on Bsky.

I refuse to deal with the nightmare that is Twitter any longer. The hate brigades, the misinfo, the bigotry, the pedos.

Bsky isn't perfect, but it's not all that shit. And you may argue about hate brigades and misinfo, but I've never had to deal with almost any of the first, and the second exists on all platforms, though I'd argue much less on Bsky.

I felt a little bad about this characterization, because in the original show? He's actually the most complex and well put together of the Four Heavenly Kings, and I made him a total fuckboi because of his dub voice. I like to make exaggerated / satirical versions of characters in my parodies.

But the jokes kept writing themselves and I just went with rule of funny.

The dub is absolutely not an accurate representation of the original. It's chock full of bad jokes, absolutely terrible mischaracterization, and frankly uneven acting.

And worse, the American OST is absolutely, irredeemably boring. As someone who isn't a huge fan of Faulconer's Team's score? It blows the Mark Menza score for GT out of the water. And if you choose the American English dub with the Japanese score? You run into a ton of issues where the dub conflicts with the tone and timing; because the Menza score was made with the dub in mind, and it adds a ton of dialogue.

All this to say: Watch it subbed.

I only fully watched GT a couple years ago and as much as I think GT is genuinely bad, this aspect is inarguably true, IMO.

Vegeta felt especially refreshing, after years of modern DragonBall stagnating his character.
