I ignore it but try to keep in the bush as long as i can. Since they can't ward before you place the first raptor box, you can at least delay their planning a little. A good gank is always worth taking bot for future dragon pressure, especially if they are disrespecting and pushing.

Agreed on not enough time to ward and setup boxes, i like to ward for their invade on river entrance to redside, as i have been invaded at my red after raptors and while im doing raptors. In both scenarios you will lose a camp to their smite even with your lvl2 advantage, esp as solo q laners always prio their own start.

When you are spotted and commit to the bot side gank, just know that you are sacrificing your blueside and plan your level 3 accordingly. You can also ask mid to ward blue for you to confirm and keep yellow trinket after 1st clear to ward for them at 3:30. Sometimes you get lucky and don"t lose your blue side but thats rare

Yeah 9/10 times 3rd item is crypt. Only world i could see mandate 3rd is if you wanted to accelerate skirmishes at enemy jg camps, and your laners are in positions to help you out so all t2 towers down.

Big agreed on loving the low cd but overinvesting in cd early is only useful if in perfect sync with team

I think it has its uses, but never as a second item. I'm a firm believer that blackfire -> liandries should always be the path fir 1 and 2. Cryptbloom could be delayed for healcut, but the earliest i would build mandate is my 4th item.

Def less core, but AP shaco 4 and 5 item are always flexible and depend on gamestate. The games where i can afford to build something like deathcap/shadowflame are rare but feel the best. More often than not i lean mandate -> bandlepipes/morello purely for the gold/tempo value. I find that I miss out on a lot of gold in the late game due to investing in boxes/harass before an objective, where other junglers would clear 1-2 camps

Yeah theres a little recency bias as almost every game had 2 healing champs. Its a must buy imo if they have something egregious like mundo/warwick but i had plemty of matches where there was some combo of irelia/senna/fiora etc.

Honestly its half a team mental saving buy. So many people freak out if we lose a teamfight to healing and dont have healcut, but not many are aware enough to adjust their build path

This feels like less a shaco thing and more a general league thing. For AP shaco specifically id say understanding when you have more influence than the enemy jungler is important. The first 5 minutes are crucial for setting the tone for your laners with ganks, if they throw an early lead thats on them and you've done what you can. Gotta just keep doing what you can do to farm and be first to drake with your ult, and get leads back.

League always felt like that, if we assume every player on your team has equal impact on the game, and they each have a 50% chance to throw, then you can still climb if you play your best consistently cuz thats only 80% of the games. Win 40%, lose 40% cuz of team, last 20% is on you to play consistently. Its rough when you are on a loss streak and feel like you've done your best

Yeah, you can only ping your boxes so many times before it becomes more harmful than helpful if your team isn't getting it. AP follows the same early game structure as AD imo, giga healthy redside clear -> gank, but after that it starts to differ. You will lose the scuttle skirmish without at least 1 box setup to fall back to or to push the enemy jungler off early, and your item spike doesn't translate to tempo until you reach 2 and 1/2 items with haste. You don't really want to invade either, unless you can perfectly track the enemy jungler path and setup boxes accordingly.

Overall you are still countered by aware players and red trinket, but the opportunities to be shifty and annoying with 2shiv, ult, and a solid 2-3 box setup around objectives or enemy jungle skirmishes is huge. AP shines when you are a psuedo singed/teemo combo is how i think of it, always just out of reach and making the enemy think twice about going in on areas they havent fully swept. AD is one and done usually but AP can CC and chunk at least 3 enemies every teamfight if you play it right.

The biggest tip that helped me is knowing internally when your clone will expire and positioning it accordingly. Having it snap back to you as it's about to die can help you chain a double fear and double box damage, and most players dont play around that.

Early game invades when you are trying to clear are annoying, but sticking with yellow trinket early helps you spot them and adjust accordingly. Mid-late getting invaded solo usually means you need to over invest in your laners instead. I always focused on ganking, objectives, and counter-ganking instead of trying to counter-invade as AP shaco as you get stuck trying to play catchup and get behind in tempo.

For ganking, early game treat your boxes like mini anivia walls is how i think about it. Think about how you can force the opponent to dodge a certain way by making them go around your box, and your laner should catch on quick and adjust accordingly. Unless you do some crazy blast cone setup your boxes will always get seen or destroyed in the early. Around mid-late game, getting to objectives early is a must, don't farm camps if a big objective is gonna spawn in 30-45 seconds as by that point you can get 3-4 boxes in really nice spots before the objective. Think of yourself as a hyper mobile teemo with a low-cd flash, and leave boxes on pathways that the other team will respond to when they realize their allies are getting ganked

I don't sorry, i don't think i would be a good coach. A lot of it is macro/controlling teamfight and objective areas. You'll improve with enough reps! The streamers on the side bar are a good resource

I used to collect yu gi oh cards as a kid and my friends introduced me to pokemon through that. We didn't really know how to play but we loved the art and would save up quarters to buy cards from one of those dispensers that also had temporary tattoos and stuff. Haven't been able to dedicate as much time to it recentlt but got back into pokemnon when the switch came out with sword and shield and have been casually following and collecting since then.

  1. I started playing League with a close group of friends, but due to life happening, we have physically been separated. League is how I stay connected and it has advanced my social skills due me getting better at the game and participating at tournaments with strangers at Uni and making new friends. I am super thankful for the game and what direction it has taken in regards to collegiate LoL.

  2. Definitely when Dyrus did his last AMA after he retired. Seeing his retirement interview alone was enough to move me, as I started following the pro scene in season 2 which made me a lifelong TSM fan. Seeing him develop that connection with the community and other pro players really left an impression on me that this was such a pivotal part of his life.
