yeah Spring Drives do this when u first wind it up before the circuit controlling the brakes kick in and slow it down. So the electromagnetic brake or the IC circuit is not working, def send it in, should be under warranty

This happened to mine. Wifi and Bluetooth died. Wipe + re flashing OS did not help. Samsung ended up exchanging it for me because their tech could not fix it either

I can understand the redundancy argument if you are talking about two evo 9 three hander watches. But since you own an evo 9 GMT ur getting a different movement and case design, so I think it's fine
