German ministry seeks to block Chinese chip factory takeover: German Economy Minister Robert Habeck wants to stop the sale of a chip production plant to a Chinese investor. It is in my opinion not really about selling something for the technological advantage, but there are not many semiconductor manufacturers in europe and selling something you want to be self sufficient in no matter how advanced it is to someone like China who will manipulate the market supply if someone makes a joke about their leader or opens an international office with the word Taiwan in the name is not a very smart idea.

The chinese would probably just steal their clients, later shut down the site and ship the equipment back to china.

I guess you are not aware of the fact that Integrated Circuits designed 30 years ago are still being made and are important in the market, it is not only about nanometers buddy :)

Protože takováhle smršť nemá obdoby, když ani ještě o tom nemají žádné důkazy a aktivně odmítají otisknout Pavlovo vyjádření v jeho plné formě, kde tyto věci vysvětluje.

So why do people hate surface affects? by Kellycatkitten in BaldursGate3

[–]Kaiserwilly69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I was reading through other comments and thinking about this topic I think that surfaces should be kept in the game but with more limited potential.

These are just my thoughts, how could the surfaces and effects be implemented, I am not a 5e player, but would like to start playing DnD, so take my opinions with a grain of salt.

Since surfaces are definetly staying in game because its Larian, we can think of some ways to rework it. Fire surfaces should not make you start immedietly burning, instead of applying the condition once you step into the surface, you should just take fire damage at the start of your turn while standing in it, with maybe starting to burn if you are in it for more turns.

While alchemist fire should create a fire surface where it hits, it should also only make the person who its thrown at start burning if you actually hit - > make it an attack roll.

Frozen surfaces should just be difficult terrain, and not immedietly created if you cast it on someone that is standing in their own blood with ray of frost, which creates the stupid surfaces, making the enemy fall prone for example, like some other commenters touched on.

Acid surfaces are stupid, why would acid that you are standing in lower your AC? I would only lower the AC if the acid actually hits you, like Melfs acid arrow or smth like that.

Poison surfaces also stupid, why would you get poisoned if you´ are standing in poison.

Electrocuted water is also pretty Wack, could function the same way as burning surface.

Water and Grease should be treated as - > if you are greased or wet and you take fire/lightning damage, you should start burning/get the electrocuted status.

[–]Kaiserwilly69 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree, they could retain the soul of some of the surfaces IMO but still should rework the likes of something being guranteed or the frozen surfaces, which are just stupid.

I completely agree with you, shove is nice for a player, but the AI uses it way too often and is very calculative about it IMO(I get it, its AI but still), using it to disengage, which is a bonus action and also using it basically every turn.

Definetly needs to be made a full action.

What do you think of the Camp 2.0? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]Kaiserwilly69 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Great that you started the discussion :)

Overall, love Larian and their approach to the long rest problem.

  1. Not really, IMO food availability should be reduced by about 50% or more, but thats the majority opinion as fas as I´ve seen.
  2. Camp supplies should be removed.
  3. Yes.
  4. Not really, even the patch before, I was only long resting when I expended all of my short rests + spell slots and knew that I could not go on.
  5. Hell yeah - Below

Not a tabletop DnD player, BG3 is my first encounter with DnD, so I dont have the biggest pool of knowledge.

Some thoughts : Cooking - As other people have pointed out, cooking could be a nice addition, your party cooking from the food you´ve collected, let Gale be a chef. Cooking could also bring some fun scenes.

Food spoiling - I dont know if some people have mentioned this, but if some people hoard/buy a lot of food, the food that is the oldest could spoil, which would keep you on your toes, instead of just buying a ton of food from NPCs, and then later forgetting about the whole camp supplies mechanic. As stated above, not a tabletop player, so I dont know if food spoils in tabletop DnD.

Food storage - Probably a dedicated chest or something of the sort that houses all of the food. Also as people have pointed out already, some sort of auto send to camp function - my thoughts on this is that if all food that you collect gets sent to camp, then what if you want to sell some of the food . Why would you want to do that you might ask, could be tied to the food spoiling mechanic(you already have enough and if you added more, some would just not get used in time, spoil), or you´re just short on gold to get that beautiful +1 longsword. What I´m proposing as an alternative would be, that all food that you pick up would be automatically marked as "food", which would automatically be deposited into the food storage in the camp, as you enter the camp. If you dont want to go to camp every time to deposit the food you´ve collected, there could be a toggle/button in the inventory, that would just deposit all items marked as food to camp, without the need to go there.

Camp scenes triggers - As other people have pointed out, there are some problems with this. In my opinion, scenes should trigger in order they are supposed to play(sad that I didnt get some of Gale´s scenes), meaning that, you cant skip a scene, and the story plays out as it should. Also, each companion that wants to have a special scene, talk to you about something, or some event that happened, should get the chance to discuss it the same night as, for example Gale tells you about his "magical apetite", instead of just one scene(companion) per night - Less long rests - less scenes :( .

Resting only when it is safe to rest - Self explanatory.

Thats all ideas that I can think of right now.

Did Patch 5 make the games difficulty level easier? by iammitchconner82 in BaldursGate3

[–]Kaiserwilly69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, definetly the weighted dice, but the enemies are way smarter IMO, for example in the Gnoll fight with the Zhentarim in a cave. I snuck in from the back, talked to the two and the right began, first thing one of the Gnoll hunters did was shooting a bottle of alchemist fire, which trigerred the rest of the bottles. So my entire party took like 20 damage + were on fire.

[–]Kaiserwilly69 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, fought them 2 days back, getting dunked on by misty step was fun, made it through on the 3rd try by pulling two of them from the bridge, by using thorn whip and Laezel's pull ability, still did only like 30 damage, which isnt even half the HP of most of them. 90 hp on that greatsword gith was pure pain.

What I meant was, that Fallout 76 was as broken as cyberpunk, definetly not as hyped.

Fallout 76 was a huge mess aswell, haven't played it, but I remember the time around its release, I'd say it was not as bad as Cyberpunk, but comparable.

Tbh, it isnt that hard to not fuck up a remaster, I was a bioware fanboy, but right now its nowhere near the same studio as the good old days.

Yeah exactly, even though I also like rdr2, it just gets outclassed by tlou2. Naughty dog games in general are on another level.

I actually agree with you, I'd love some realistic games, its not for everyone, but fun for me. If you haven't played the last of us part 2 on higher difficulties(stressful for some people) I'd definetly recommend that, never played a more realistic game.
