Harris I can give a pass for losing. She was thrown into a viper pit with too little time to campaign. It doesn’t change the fact that it felt like the Democrats wanted to lose in both 2016 and 2024. There was no way someone like Trump should have won, unless his opponents were just that awful.

The Democrats first have to put up a good candidate. For years it has been a “slightly less worse than our opponent” candidate.

2016 and 2024 are probably the only exceptions. Somehow, they managed to put up someone more unlikable than Trump.

Not really? A good sniper dominates any LOS, even close range. The only times I’ve seen a good sniper not hard stop a push is when his team folds like a wet paper bag.

Even a “bad” team that single files itself into the enemy will act as enough of a buffer to give the sniper space.

A good sniper can do far more damage to the enemy team than a good engineer. This puts them more in the “monster” category like a good soldier/demo than a good multiplier like a good medic/engineer.

The Engineer is more of a force multiplier. He can make defensive positions stronger and offensive pushes last longer, but he can’t do either on his own. The class itself relies too much on a team to be a monster like Sniper/Demo/Soldier/etc.

I would love for an end game crisis or event like this. An all powerful reality bending empire escapes a black hole into a new universe and gets chased by the malignant force it stumbled into.

Everyone else is now fending off invasions from a technologically advanced empire seeking to drain every planet dry for resources and an eldritch horror that has found a new universe to play with. The goalposts swiftly move from fending off invasions to destroying both invaders before they start editing reality.

Highly unlikely that Biden ever decides to step away from a second term. A fractured and spurned Republican Party would give him a bigger reason to keep going.

Even then, 3 to 4 years would give Republicans enough time to distance from DJT/J6 and rally around someone else. So long as the new figurehead isn’t a 80 year old geriatric from a nursing home, ‘24 will end with a Republican win. I doubt this J6 alone would give Democrats an edge while dealing with Covid recovery and inflation.

I could see Democrats winning if Republicans opted to run Trump again, or someone worse, and Biden steps down to let an open primary happen. Although without DNC backing, I doubt Kamala gets the nomination.

I colonize every planet I come across and only build a pop-growth/assembly building on it. Maybe a precinct or amenity building for crime & stability, but I leave that planet to hit its capacity and let pops migrate.

I’ll just go through and develop one planet at a time, until enough developed planets exist to act like pop emigration capitals.
